This week in The Black House many horrendous events occurred. Everything from people being uncivil towards each other to a boy’s mother going insane. This part of the book has defiantly taken a turn towards the wild side. The missing boys mother has begun to question herself about other disappearing children. The mother thinks that she may be the mysterious “fisherman”. This drives her insane having her husband commit her to the physciatric ward. I find this part of the book to get better and better. The more dysfunction the better I find the horror aspects of the book.

This week I finally received my new mp3 player from UPS. I officially am against all companies that deal with shipping unless I am getting it overnighted to me. 11 days for a mp3 player coming from Oklahoma is ridiculous. Also being an hour away from Wixom yet taking thirteen hours to get to my house from Wixom this company has ceased to amaze me. I officially am going to complain to the company about their slow response time. As well as the shipping contractor. Also, I am looking forward to listening to more music and videos.

On the topic of denying the holocaust. I am glad I listened to Penn Gillette of the Penn and Teller show on the radio last night. He has his own radio show in Las Vegas and was arguing that countries in Europe are afraid of free speech and therefore are not giving people rights to say what they want including the holocaust. I disagree with Penn Gillette. These countries are not scared they just do not want to open up old wounds that still are healing after a half a century. They also have the right to deny people freedom of speech but I personally would be glad that I am living in America.

I would also like to do an alternative AR assignment on Schindler’s List, which I just finished, finally, yesterday. The activity I wish to do is to write a new ending to the book. I think a page will suffice, next Thursday looks to be a good day for me to turn it in. The book is worth 20 points. Any ideas that may need to be changed? Thanks!

Books read this week: Black House by Stephen King 120-210. Schindler’s List last 50 pages I read.

Thank you!

“I hate these hand-me-downs,” Tom said raggedly.

“That shriek was horrendous,” Tom said piercingly.

“He’s an idiot,” Tom said dumbfounded.

“It’s so slippery,” Tom said uncontrollably.

“He is odd,” Tom said eccentrically.

“What’s the buzz,” Tom said hummingly.

“It’s Halloween,” Tom said wickedly.

“Where is the humor,” Tom said half-heartedly.

“The world is round,” Tom said spherically

“Woe is me,” Tom said dreadfully.

This week I have continued reading Black House by Stephen King. It has been becoming much more interesting. For example, a group of boys riding around on their bikes with another boy who just gets helped out by the group because of a maniac killer on the loose. I find it very intriguing that the boy riding around on his bike disappears in the front of a senior citizen home. It seems an odd place for him to disappear especially in a small town with the wind at his back heading towards fall. I felt a sense of melancholy. I was very sad to see the nice young boy disappear but was ready to hear about what the others would do to find him.

I find that the vice-president shooting a friend with a bullet to be very sad yet it may ultimately only wind up with him being fined. If his friend does press charges even that may be the extent of it unless his friend does die of course. I hope to see that even our power authorities of this country are not that successful with guns. I wonder if they vice-president has had his hunting license revoked for shooting a human. I hope that soon Mr. Whittington does get better though.

I believe that learning about the Holocaust has significantly changed my view on it. I believe that I really did not know enough about the holocaust to grasp it before I studied it this year. I think that if people were not to study the holocaust they would defiantly miss out on an important and terrible event in world history. I am glad that I studied the holocaust because I feel very sorry for all the people involved in it and great anger at those who started it.

This week I started to read Black House by Stephen King and Peter Straub. I really have been enjoying the book so far. I have really been intrigued about the complicity of a small town in a horrible grip of a murderer. I really like the characters especially the “mysterious” five. They are so odd. To work at a beer factory and barely be known. I look forward to seeing much more action and horror as the book continues. I believe that one of the characters may even be killed.

I am very irritated this week at the Apple Computer Company. They have dropped their prices on their Ipod line. The nano, a very popular product has had a price drop to $149.99 but has come to be a reduced size of 1GB. The company has also dropped prices on its Ipod shuffle line. The 512mb shuffle has been reduced to $69.99 and the 1GB shuffle to $99.99. If these shuffle’s had screens on them Apple would dominate the market. This will probably become true very soon as Apple is gaining more and more share of the mp3 player market. I am irritated at this news because the Apple Company is taking away shares of the business from competitors like Creative Labs, Sony, Iriver and others. I am sad to say that since they are doing this I likely will never buy their product. I will instead go with Creative Labs.

read this week: Black house 1-90 and some others books.
