This week instead of reading a normal book, I began to listen to a book on a podcast. I had been listening to a podcast before and really was enjoying what I was hearing. So I decided to check this book out. The book is called Earthcore by Scott Sigler. It is an actual book! If you want to look at it go to http://www.podiobooks.com/podiobooks/book.php?ID=24.
I really enjoy the character of Kirkland. Kirkland acts so harshly towards everyone because he wants to avenge his wives death She has died some time ago but he is still holding onto her. He also pushes himself over the edge. Staying up way to late working on his projects and not caring if he is a pompous fool because of it. I really do enjoy his attitude however. People that act like idiots deserve to be made into idiots.
This book in general is a very interesting read. The characters are always getting into something and just when it is getting good the author stops and does not give you the information until the next episode. I find that reading the book like a podcast also gives you an insight more since you can hear exactly what the author envisioned the characters sounding like.
One thing I was wondering though, would you allow me to use this audio book as an AR book. Now, that would really be something. There are no text copies of the book in any of the local libraries or borders. So that means it would have to be special ordered if you required me to get it in writing. Thanks!
