Haha to Myspace today. :)

  • October 30, 2006 10:51 pm

This is my last laugh of the day going out to http://myspace.com for the total lack of caring for their community by DISALLOWING the uploading of commercial songs. I have a feeling a large rebellion is soon to be staged against myspace. Mostly for disallowing the music which adorns most every 16-21 year olds page. Myspace is getting stale and stogy. The social network has been having more trouble with it’s members however numbers are still growing. Let’s keep up the anti-myspace war people. Fox, you despise me. The quality people who bring me War at Home, Arrested Development, and the Simpsons. I urge you to sell off myspace at once and reap the rewards of a great SALE!

15 years for Killing someone with corn…:(

  • October 28, 2006 3:16 am

This has to be the strangest article today. This women is being sentenced to up to 15 years in prison for injecting corn into another women’s buttocks.

Opinion.: This has to be the stupidest and most idiotic thing to ever do.  First off, why would I want a non-medical needle anywhere near me? I mean God created my body they way he wanted it. It should not need to be altered.  Also, Mrs. Corn death should have gotten Botox instead which may have helped with her death related problems.  Just seems like a stupid idea to die by to me.

Random College Cyber Ethics Paper

  • October 27, 2006 7:22 pm

http://www.darkrockstudios.com/public/

This paper was written by many of the probably most drunken college slobs there are. Response range from the strange to the mediocre to the sadaistic to the horribley in need of censored.  I however like this idea for writing, maybe I will try it tonight with my paper that is due next week. Only 2 problems. 1) Too young to drink. 2) Not stupid enough to let my friends do my homework . :D

10 and 7 year old boys Cause $50k Damage To Neighbor’s House in 45 minutes

  • October 26, 2006 11:03 pm

Police are calling it the quickest, most destructive act of vandalism in a home they’ve ever seen. And 7-year-old and 10-year-old brothers admit doing it.

The pure sense of these photo graphs is amazing. I am so dumbstruck at how these kids can cause some much damage in only one hour. Just check out the pictures they speak for themselves.

I especially like surgically implanting the drugs. Very undetectable. :D

Fire station burns down because it has no fire alarm

  • October 25, 2006 8:27 pm

A fire station in Arundel, England, which did not have a fire alarm fitted has been badly damaged in a blaze. Thirty firefighters from neighboring stations were sent to the blaze, which destroyed the town’s fire engine.

Wow, talk about irony. You would figure that firefighters would have the common sense to put in a smoke detector in their fire house at least. This would be a major code violation in the U.S.

7-Eleven Stops Selling Cocaine!

  • October 25, 2006 8:24 pm

Convenience-store operator 7-Eleven Inc. is telling franchises to pull a high-caffeine drink from its shelves because of the product’s name: Cocaine.

The store is evidently worried about “hurting” its customers. Now this is the first time EVER I have seen a convenience store chain worry about their customer’s. Congrats 7/11 for caring but please bring back my cocaine. :(

Coins Don’t Smell, You Do

  • October 25, 2006 7:54 pm

Scientists have sniffed out the reason for the musty, “metallic” odor you smell after handling money.

It turns out blood can smell a lot like Iron, because it contains Iron! This is amazing. Also scientists have found the smell of blood to be mostly an illusion and our hands actually have oils which make it smell. Personally, next time I get a coin I will think twice about letting it anywhere near my body and will defiantly wash my hands!

Pot grown in a PC

“A few days ago police in Poland arrested a 17 year old kid who ran a mini-farm of cannabis inside his PC. The PC was normally used but modded to contain a light source, and keep humidity and temperature at proper levels.”

I find this about the most interesting thing to do with a computer ever. I think the neighbor should try and bake some weed in his cpu. :D

Science Teacher Sets Fire To Classroom (Pictures Included)

In them, chemistry teacher Neil Dixon demonstrates with powdered milk the dangers posed by one of life’s more unusual hazards: exploding custard factories.” Read on and don’t miss the pictures!

Wow, shows you how good safety measures are in accidents like this. Maybe she should have used safety measures before it occurred. :D

Boy Scouts to Get Merit Badge for Not Downloading Music/Movies

  • October 21, 2006 1:38 am

Boy Scouts in the Los Angeles area will now be able to earn a merit patch for learning about the evils of downloading pirated movies and music. The patch shows a film reel, a music CD and the international copyright symbol, a “C” enclosed in a circle. The movie industry has developed the curriculum.

No duh the movie industry has developed the curriculum. I find it a down right disgrace that the boy scouts have to teach kids that downloading illegal music is wrong. This is not the boy scouts job, it is the parents job to get little jimmy to not download 600 50 cent virus encrusted files. Come on world.

Brothers ages 3 and 4 die in wasp attack.

  • October 18, 2006 11:32 pm

Adults who saw them being chased by the swarm locked them out of a room to prevent getting stung themselves, news reports said Monday.

This is extremely sad news. The adults sacrficed the kids for themselves. The kids are so mcuh more at risk to die than adults just nursing the bites! How selfish these thugs are!

I have heard about this before. The inoccent second grader who happened to kick another kid in the butt and gets accused of sexual harrassment because he tripped. This is sad, I hope the ACLU actually wins this case and gets this nutjob of a principal thrown out of teaching.

Jurassic Park

  • October 17, 2006 8:47 pm

Currently another literay selection I am reading. I have had several thoughts about this book.

Thought #1) Why would Mr. Crichton only put two gas powered vehicles on the island. All the rest run on tracks.

Thought #2) Why is there no dock built on the island?

Thought #3) Why does it seem that all dinosaurs are flawed? Is this because of replaced gentic coding or is it originally from the jurassic age.

All these and more might just puzzle you a bit. I have gained a deeper respecet for jurassic park.  I really did not enjoy it at first but it is seriously growing on me. I look forward to updating you on my quest.

Police Officer Suspended Over Graphic MySpace Page

  • October 16, 2006 7:44 pm

A Wichita Falls police officer whose Web page on MySpace.com included images of dismembered women has been indefinitely suspended, city officials said. Jeremiah Love’s page on the free-access social networking site contained images and statements that could undermine public confidence in the department, according to an internal affairs report.

Evidently many police officers are having problems keeping off myspace. This just shows you that big brother is watching myspace. That’s a good thing maybe fox will finally get rid of the heap of dirt and get into the bussiness of actual content!

School reading

  • October 15, 2006 8:14 pm

Today’s Thought: Why must we do mandatory reading for school?

Is it because it is good and righteous? Is it for the literacy rates of our nation to improve?

The true reason that we need to read and write is so that we may continue to add a positive impact to our nation. Today I am reading the book Desperation(Stephen King) for an assignment for my English class. I have learned many things throughout this book so far but which touched me most by far was the chapter about how this boy, David came to faith.

David had a friend, Brian who was hit by a drunk driver on his way to school. David was crushed by this and immediantly decided to go to the hospital and visit his friend who was on life-support. David was so crushed by what he saw and by his friends parents that he went home and went to a secluded area on a path and asked questions. These questions were not directed at himself but God. Then he found himself praying.

That story, while touching, has a point to make. It shows that through our worst times we hold strong in faith. We grab hold of something deep in our soul and do not let go until we die.

conclusion: You may ask why this is relevant to a media blog… I find that all sorts of media can be exposed. Not just media outside in the real world but inside our body media as well. Hopefully you have gained something from this.

Bahamas orders man lashed with cat-o’-nine-tails

  • October 14, 2006 5:59 pm

A man convicted of trying to rape an 83-year-old woman was sentenced to eight lashes with a cat-o’-nine-tails, a punishment used by the British Navy in the 18th century and reinstated in the Bahamas 15 years ago.

I agree with this punishment whole-heartadley and the warden said that it is the best detterent as a prisoner being lashed has never came back to prison. This punishment must work well and is only used for extreme cases. I am glad to see it reinstated.

Police Find Burgers Sprinkled With Pot

  • October 14, 2006 12:17 am

Three workers at a Burger King restaurant were arrested after two Isleta tribal police officers discovered that the hamburgers they ordered were sprinkled with marijuana.
The Isleta Police Department officers ate about half of their burgers Sunday before discovering marijuana on the meat.

This is deplorable!!! I cannot believe an outstanding burger king employee would do such a vile and decrepid action!

US Army’s New Slogan: `Army Strong’

  • October 10, 2006 12:17 am

In its battle to win the hearts and minds of recruiting-age Americans, the Army is replacing its main ad slogan — “An Army of One” — with one it hopes will pack more punch: “Army Strong.”

Come back army..I need to use your strong brawny muscles to beat the taliban. I am agianst this change of the army’s slogan. The old slogan promoted unity, and selflessness. This new slogan promotes only strength. We need more out of a slogan for our nation’s army let’s divide and conquer! Come on army bring it together and take back the day!

25 Nationwide: Why the Spike in School Shootings?

  • October 4, 2006 7:24 pm

Since the beginning of the school year, there have been 25 shootings at or near schools nationwide. The overwhelming majority of schools in the United States do not have security cameras or metal detectors. Between 1992 and 2002, 462 people, including students and faculty, were killed at schools across the country.

This is major issue with out public school system today. Why should there be so many school shootings. I mean my school has 250 security camera’s all over the H.S. campus infact workers were installing MORE today. Let’s get our public school’s safe. However, there is a line at it. You cannot have people installing medal detectors, sorry charlie but my school doesn’t have the money and the backlash would be TREMENDOUS.

Save lives, donate to your local school district today.

Rush Limbaugh: Democrats “set Foley up”

  • October 4, 2006 7:22 pm

On the October 2 broadcast of his nationally syndicated radio show, Rush Limbaugh suggested that the recent resignation of former Rep. Mark Foley (R-FL), which came after allegations that Foley sent inappropriate emails to a 16-year-old male congressional page, was a “set … up” “coordinated” by the Democrats.

……………………………………………

Laugh my head off funny. So now Rush thinks its his eminent domain to say that the “democrats” (Sorry for swearing boys and girls!) set something up. He has only been saying this for how long…then agian democrats are evil aren’t they.

Give thoughts to one who’s brain is so full it needs englightenment.

Some people’s attitudes

  • October 2, 2006 7:39 pm

You know some people’s attitudes, are just rather crappy. Take for example my Algebra teacher she thinks that you should use your report cards to go sailing with instead of showing them to your parents. CRAP!

Then there is the biology teacher who thinks that you aren’t working hard enough in class when you are already done with your work and reading a book. What the heck does she know anyways! We are smarter than her and probably 15 other PHD’s combined.

The humble fast food worker is the smartest schmoe on the planet, honest, hard-working and always asks if you want fries with that! Come on America get your mind out the gutter and start acting more like the fast food serivce people you know we all are!

Flordia Deputy Shoots Himself

  • October 2, 2006 7:36 pm

A Flordi Deputy at his birthday party shoot himself with his own gun when showing it to friends. This is a tragic farcity that shows how uneducated our police officers are when they are supposed to know how to handle a gun. After further comments the hospital spokeswoman has said that his status is critical but stable. Wish you well, idiot!

Hamster On A Plane

  • October 1, 2006 1:02 am

It wasn’t “Snakes on a Plane,” but an Austrian Airlines jet made an unscheduled stop Friday after a passenger sneaked a hamster aboard and the rodent escaped. By midafternoon, a search of the aircraft still had not turned up any sign of the hamster, authorities said. The plane could definantly not take off with the hampster on it. The plane has been grounded until further notice until the hamster is found. I see no particularily pressing reason why the plane cannot take off other than the hamster might fly out in the landing gear.
