School Bus Chaos

  • January 31, 2007 5:01 pm

The school bus chaos of New York City public schools is insane. Some kids are being picked up 18 minutes after their classes start. The education board toats that they are going to be saving 12 million dollars a year by using a better bussing system. Some buses are overcrowded to the point that they become saftey issues. Other children, like a seven year old are told to cross a ENORMOUSLY busy six lane avenue to catch one of three buses on his route to school.

New York City schools what is this madness you have with your busing troubles? I find it dispicable that you cannot get your kids in order and you find it easier just to ship them off on the city buses. Come on guys protect your children, try and work out the kinks before you deply a new idea, works great for software, try it in real life!

Herpes Outbreak.

  • January 31, 2007 4:54 pm

A herpes outbreak has caused a Minnesota high school wrestling leauge to disband all practices until Feb. 6th in order to diagnose new cases.  This includes no contact between wrestlers during this period. Apparently this is the same virus of herpres that causes cold sores. ESPN reports below.

If kids were less sexually active maybe we wouldn’t have to shut down your wrestling leauge. Come on guys, your having a great sport don’t ruin it because you want a one night stand. Honestly, these wrestlers could have so much better things to do in life than have herpes. But thank goodness they are taking precautionary mesaures so that some kids do not have to get herpes for the rest of their lives.

Miami glad for Castro to kick the bucket!

  • January 29, 2007 9:16 pm

The city of Miami is going to be holding a large part in the Orange Bowl whenever Fidel Castro, the leader of Cuba, dies. The event was dicussed at a recent city council meeting, including which performers will attend and how long the “celebration” is to last.

Personally, I do not think you should ever celebrate someone dying. However, Fidel Castro is right up there with Hitler among some of the worst people in the world. He has caused enormous troubles for his people so I guess the people of Miami are trying to relax after being terorized by this horrible villan. However, Miami is a big party town and I will definantly be down for any party at the Orange Bowl. Note to self: Email Miami’s mayor and ask if you have to pay for admission and/or your drinks at this party.

Collection of cars forgotten, then found!

  • January 29, 2007 9:05 pm

A warehouse was opened in Portugal to find over 180 cars. Some appear to be rusting but many look to be in salvageable condition.

First, may I interject by asking, why do you leave 180 cars untouched to the point they are rusting! You must of had a will or something. This just seems a little too precuilar that someone would just leave millions of dollars worth of automobiles sitting in a warehouse, however, it could happen. My big bet, it is a undercover smuggling ring that was busted but the cars were never found. 15 years is a long time, but no one is there to claim them so the government will most likely sell them to the highest bidder. Quite a sad fate awaits these cars I presume.

93 year olds views on death!

  • January 26, 2007 9:43 pm

I can’t even explain this article so straight into my editorial porition of this article. I am amazed that there is a 93 year old blogger! This is an amazing occurence, however, he has some very wise statements and quite a few people’s comments. On a related note, I have never really thought about dying. I just figure that when God wants to take me he will. I don’t think there is anything wrong with dying as long as you have a spiritual plan for your afterlife, now that is the important part.

Walmart 400% more violent than Target!

  • January 26, 2007 9:37 pm

A report of the accidents at targets and walmart store show how expensive and how often the attacks occur. I urge you to check this out.

There is over 625 incidents at one walmart less than 20 miles from my house since 2002. So many of them are larceny, however vehicle accidents, and child abuse are among others. You can look up your Wally World and see the total cost to tax payers and in some cases the actual police report. This is just kinda creppy. However, I don’t go to walamrt very often so I guess I will be pretty safe at my house.

Shiny new wordpress

  • January 26, 2007 9:25 pm

Well, not that you notice but I got some shiny new wordpress upgrades. Upgraded the blog to version 2.1 Ella. This is mostly a geeky post so hey, too bad if you aren’t a geek huh.  I think that a new font is the default font, the admin login is much cooler, and I have a shiny new administration panel.

Among other things in my life I went to the boy’s basketball game tonight and sadly we lost. It was a tragedy. However, you do what you have to do sadly.  I think this post is one in a series going up tonight. Look forward to more reading fun and have a great one everyone.

Cannabis found in Amsterdamn.

  • January 26, 2007 4:39 pm

This was the oddest story I have seen this week! A hotel returns a man’s drugs to him via a V.I.P. channel because it is agianst international law to transport it.

Let’s use some common sense here, mary jane is only legal in very few countries, maybe they should of asked him if he was coming back tot he hotel and promise to keep it for him. I sure as heck do not know what he is going to do with it when he gets it back. Maybe Russian lawyers can defend his rights?

Sapphire Knife

  • January 19, 2007 9:38 pm

This knife is a very dangerous security threat because it has no metal parts on it. It is a potential threat to security inside vital areas. As I do not want to be implicated with this I am describing a really cool and expensive knife. It can only be sharpened with a special diamond as well.

Why would anyone need such a thing you ask? Well, that’s for you to decide as I have no comment on that. However, this article mentions cutting an airplane window. Not my first idea to use a knife for. Also, thanks to the folks over at english russia who keep sending all this traffic my way. Actually found this article when looking up http reffers.

County Officials ignorant and belligernt about road

  • January 19, 2007 5:52 pm

County Officials in Tampa Bay, Florida refuse to pave 60 feet to finish a 2.2 million dollar road to reduce overcrowding on the other main roads in the city. This is just ignorance on the part of the county, I wish they could get a life and possibly decide to make better use of their time.  They could reduce wear and tear on their main roads by opening the already paved 2.2 MILLION dollar road that is finished except for sixty feet. I give up on Pasco county.

A rebuttal! To teens waking up is cruel.

  • January 19, 2007 4:06 pm

As mentioned in my earlier post, Teens waking up is cruel more high schools are changing there start times as mentioned in the article below. I however, think the study must have not been the only deciding factor and the articles data is consistent with the data from the school district.

DRM is going to take a hike.

  • January 15, 2007 8:48 pm

Aren’t you personally annoyed when you get those annoying errors when you “do not” have the license for that All American Rejects song? I sure the heck am. A few music retailers are finally learning what it means to own the rights free and clear when you buy the song. Podshow INC provides songs for 99 cents via its music website, the podsafe music network

.  I also would not be suprised to see some new retailers such as Itunes and Napster take this stance soon.  I have found evidence supporting itunes getting rid of drm and using a unique file protection software, however this has yet to turn into realisim.  Just a thing to think about, why do we buy from people who don’t let us really control our music?

Bank robbed twice in 24 hours.

Amazing huh! Criminals either got together and thought this one up or it was a great coincidence. Check the story out, the police chief sounds very suspicious.

Why didn’t they google it first the silly blue ribbon board. I must complement them by sending them a link to my article!

Sadly, I have to report a boy was killed by an Amtrak train earlier today. The Acela Express train, which runs from New York to Washington, D.C. had just stopped at the Mansfield station and the boy was crossing the tracks when the train hit him.

Teens curel morning wake up.

  • January 13, 2007 10:52 pm

Teenagers are supposed to start school in the afternoon one scientist proposes. Making them start it in the morning is “cruel”.  He proposes this as a study is backed up from last year. Also mentioned is that teenagers don’t start thinking clearly until as late as noon. They suggest starting classes at an optimal time of 11 o’clock. Good luck getting America to change its culture brits!

Check out the site they currently have up for more details. They are rumored to going to be bigger than English Wikipedia!

School Officials threaten mentally challenged girl with police!

  • January 8, 2007 7:13 pm

This earns my weirdest story of the day verification. A young girl urinated on HERSELF when SCARED by a principal after not washing pots and pans as asked by a teacher. The school district CLAIMS that she used urination AS A WEAPON. Seems a little inconsistent there, don’t you think?  Luckily, charges were dropped by a district attorney with half more thought than school officials. Judge this article for yourself, the digg version includes contact information for this case.

53 Year old Letter Delivered.

  • January 8, 2007 7:07 pm

A 53 year old letter delivered. A post office motto mocked, what more perfect things do I have to add to this story? No matter rain nor sleet nor snow we will always deliver your letter, even if it is over 50 years old. Even more strange that he cannot locate the owner of the letter. Wonder where the letter will end up!

ChaCha.com

  • January 8, 2007 6:54 pm

Recently, I acquired news of web search startup ChaCha.com. It has a very similar results scheme to Google when I searched for polar bears. However, when I used a coveted feature of ChaCha, the search with a guide feature, I found much more on topic results and much more academically revelant sources. My guide was also very nice and polite. When I mentioned I would like these results for a school project she even wished me good luck on my project. I think ChaCha.com will continue to be a great resource for everyone, especially school children.

Well, more bussiness.

  • January 6, 2007 9:09 pm

I probably won’t post much again until after exams. Sorry to be a drag. :(
