Nascar is lame.

  • February 25, 2007 1:59 pm

That is the message a hacker with the right kind of keyboard provided to NASCAR fans at Daytona last week.  Someone changed the message on one of those highway signs to “NASCAR sucks. Go home”.   However, the message was discovered and turned off before the big race.

Pretty lame huh.  Flordia Transportation officials, you need to better control your technology or some NASCAR fan is gonna come up and sucker punch you. Just watch yourself.

*SPONSOR* Wirefly.com *SPONSOR*

  • February 25, 2007 12:14 pm

Hey again everyone. Wirefly wanted me to talk about how they get you a free phone for any cingular customer. Wirefly even has my favorite phone the Black RAZR. It comes free when you have a particpating cingular wireless plan. Also, Wirefly offers other carriers, such as Verizon and Sprint.

The major problems I see with Wirefly are: the product is FREE. This could be a great thing, using a loophole kickback or what have you. However, I doubt that is the case. I think that this could be a little bit risky. Just remember to use due caution on their site. Otherwise, they provide a great product, might try it out myself.

Note: This review is a sponsor. We do not have any official affilation with them. Please use due diligence on the internet when buying item’s. Thank you.

Students Break Teacher’s Neck over Ipod!

  • February 24, 2007 10:50 pm

Two students broke a teacher’s neck over one student having his Ipod taken away from him.  The students had a rough past, already being expelled from the school but were allowed to reenter after a year.  The students were in the process of being expelled again when this incident took place.

This is pretty sad.  Why would you break a teacher’s neck over an Ipod?  Is this just the way our culture is going these days? We just cannot live without our Ipods, so we must go after the people who harm us.  This is very depressing, hopefully, these students will get hard time or maybe even be charged as adults. However, that is up to the prosecutors.  Also, this man was 60 years old!  Why do you harm someone so old. Just pathetic.

A car that runs on..air?

  • February 23, 2007 11:08 pm

It’s true! This very bizzare and quite off-beat car runs on air!  It runs on compressed air and can be refilled in 3-4 minutes.  This car has a 2,800 km-3,000km range. Good enough for an oridnary commuter and something more. It also has a lighter engine, only half the size of it’s bulky counter-parts and reduces CO2 admissions drasticlly.

Impressed? I sure the heck am! Who could get a car to run on…air! This might be the fuel of the future people. We need to get away from foreign oil. Adam Curry, the renowned podcasting visionary, is using a converted mercedes to run on biodiesel to go across the country. Check out his link below. I think its a very important idea for green and future fuels. Let’s keep them trucker’s rollin’, 10-4.

Rats take over…the world?

  • February 23, 2007 10:24 pm

Rats took over a Taco Bell in New York today.  It appears the rat’s want nothing more than a few barrel’s of garbage but at this time the resturant has been closed until the health department does another inspection.  This is not the first time this resutrant has been cited for rats either.  2 months ago rats were found in the resturant but the problem was corrected.

YUM foods! How about ICKY foods. YUM inc. is the parent company of Taco Bell, and several other fast food chains.  However, their sales slumped, no shocker there now, after an e. coli outbreak in New York.  Man, what is up with rats and New York. I know it is no new problem but come on keep them outof the Taco Bell’s people, sheesh. Anyways, good luck bizzare Taco Bell via New York City!

*SPONSOR*Credit Card Acceptor*SPONSOR

  • February 23, 2007 9:56 pm

Hey everyone! Advtange Processors is a sponsor, as they will be helping us out a little. Just a short article about them. Advtange Processors allows offline credit card transactions. Advtange Processors also provides high risk bussiness credit card transaction solutions. This includes illegal services, such as escorts, e.t.c. Once again, Advantage Processors allows both high and low risk bussiness transactions to be completed.

The main problem I see with A.P. is that they seem a little bit too risky to me. If they provide such a great product then why haven’t they overtaken Paypal? Why hasn’t paypal taken over them? Just be cautious using them. However, they do provide a very important service and their website seems to be legit. As always us caution.

Jesscia simpsons allergic to pizza

  • February 23, 2007 6:16 pm

Jessica Simpson has been found to have internal bleeding caused by the very food she promotes, pizza. Miss. Simpson is allergic to wheat, cheese and tomatoes. The internal bleeding was discovered last month.

Wow, situational irony is so…akward.  Maybe we should all donate to her charity fund because she will soon be just another celebrity out of work. What a shame Miss. Simpson, you were a great advertiser, and actually made me want to go to Pizza Hut.

OpenID- For the future

  • February 20, 2007 5:04 pm

I just came across Lifehacker and Techcrunch articles today mentioning OpenID.  This service will open up the wb in ways we will benefit from for years to come. While I may get a little bizzare and offbeat stay with me through my rant.  OpenID will finally let you become free from having to remember difficult passwords and annoying usernames. You will have ONE universal ID and password.  Some great companies are already signed on to the project.  The blogging search engine giant, Technorati is currently using the technology. AOL, Wikipedia, and other’s have shown intrest.  The only big player missing is Google to add its acount technology but I doubt that will happen due to Google’s stubborness in the past to universal id projects.  Why not register today? You get lot’s of cool features from OpenID so give it a try, let’s get the web 3.0 started NOW!

That’s right! Turbotax is price farming, this practice although completely legal, jypes the consumer of money.  If you are using safari you are charged 2-10 dollars more for the same product as in firefox. I have confirmed this. I am waiting on hold with turbotax(owned by inuitit) but sadly the wait is 20 minutes minimum. I will be finding out why this is still legal.  Also, tell your friends, use firefox and do not get jyped.

Hey everyone,

Dclick advertising is a new advertising network. Dclick advertising provides many different advertising oppurtunities. They also let webmasters set their own pricing. Why not try Dclick advertising for your next marketing campaign? Banner ads, embedded links, traditional text links, and more are availible from the great people there.

Something that I considering was using Dclick advertising. Sadly, they use the postal mail as a payout method so I did not consider them viable for this website. Maybe you should try them on your own website though? Dclick also promises fast load times and no system downtime so your ads will be up 24/7. Check out the link today!

Florida women lives without power for 15 years

  • February 18, 2007 2:05 pm

Crooks ran off with her insurance settlement after Hurricane Andrew, 15 years ago.  Norena, finally has regained power to her home after someone noticed the problem.  She is very thankful to the Mayor and everyone who helped her out.  Norena recalled her daily cold showers in the following statement, “I think it’s like everything, you learn how to step into it, and wait, and when you feel it, you take your quick shower,” she recalled.

I think this women is very foolish for not asking for assitance sooner.  15 years without power, why wouldn’t you go and ask for help at a local senior’s center? Wouldn’t your neighbor’s notice? However, since this is from an official CBS station I will not doubt but many things seem very tragic in Norena’s case. Well done Mayor of Miami and everyone who helped Norena out.

Man stabs his wife 24 times, a millionaire, was acquitted of murder. This sicko then went out and partied about murdering his own wife and getting away with it. However, the jury was not persuaded by the facts of the case and therefore could not decided his verdict. After four hours of deliberations he was found not guilty. What a tragic story.

Is it worth plummeting into the abyss of Niagara falls to retrieve your cell phone? For one man that is exactly what nearly happened. 29-year old Waldek Kubicki, slid down 200 feet of rock after a cell phone. Mr. Kubicki was stranded there for around 45 minutes until rescuers could come and rope him back to safety. The question is this one is: How much did you early termination fee cost?

The vampire decided to come out for valentines day in Tempe, Arizona. Tiffany Sutton, 23, tricked a man 20 years older than her into an akward situation by using KINKY SEX. However, during this Mrs. Sutton got a knfie and procedded to restrain her victim. She then used the knife to cut the victim’s leg. Next, Mrs. Sutton made several marks on the victims upper body. Why does the vampire want to feast on valentines day? Why would someone do such a horrible, grotesque thing! I for one am shocked and appaled. Anyone out there enjoy doing that?

California Pastorsteals the church…litterally!

  • February 14, 2007 6:08 pm

Ripon, California, — Ripon’s First Congregational Church was sold behind parishioner’s backs by pastor Randall Radic. Mr. Radic sold the church for money to give into his sin’s and bought a Black BMW and a laptop computer after recieveing payment. Mr. Radic’s action’s also included writing a ironic post about his “double life” and spreading it through the internet on his BLOG! The worst part of it all, the man only got six months in jail. Mr. Radic is free on the condition that he testify on the jail house murder of a convict.

This is beyond ridiculous! Mr. Radic should receive the maximum sentence after selling his congregation’s only church building. Come on, to buy what a car and a laptop! There is so much better that could be done with that money, like sending Mr. Radic to the devil and letting him burn in hell! Alright, I admit I am Christian but not that kind of Christian. I say, why did Mr. Radic get off without a more stringent punishment!

Potty talk? I am sorry. Camera’s in the restroom!

  • February 12, 2007 7:20 pm

This would never hold up here in the United States. The ACLU would be all over this case. Astley Sports College in Dukinfield has installed the cameras to make sure there are no hiding places for school bullies. The camera’s are directed at the wash basins and not the cubicles.

However, this is a matter of privacy more than privy(excuse the pun) of information for the school. The school’s defense of the situation is, ” We surveyed the pupils and asked if they would object to cameras in the toilets. The majority of the pupils said no, so we decided to put one camera in the boys’ and one in the girls.” This is not acceptable. You are violating the restroom user privacy!!! Come on use your head! Don’t allow this to continue Astley Sports College.

Also, the savings are numerous, the devices only cost $21 and provide 3 months of battery life.  My favorite part, they all feature the drunk driving slogan: “You Drink, You Drive, You Lose”

Wall Street Journal: Reddit Infulential User, age 12!!!

Yes, Mr. Fuhrer, who hasn’t even grown old enough to bypass the COPPA restrictions of most internet website has become one of the most highly covented users of reddit. This story was originally posted in the WSJ(Wall Street Journal).  It talked about16 different users and their time on sites like digg, reddit, slashdot, e.t.c. Recently, digg users have had problem’s with accepting payment for promotion of stories/websites. This was when a highly debated list of digg users was released.  You could find out the number one user and figure out how much it would take to bribe them. Sadly, the list has been removed because of this abuse. However, another list has been added but is in highly shrouded secrecy due to fear of attack by digg or spammers.

Man: Bank give me my money or be repo’d!

That’s right! Next, Mr. Purcell went to court and the bank refused agianst hte courts orders to pay him. After thirty days, the bank was declared defaulted. Mr. Purcell was given a warrant of action and got repossession men to go into the bank. They took four computers and tills before the bank manager promised to pay back the fees.

However, we here at ryan444123.com also wish Mr. Samples luck in not getting himself involved with potential problems in Boston ever again.

A janitor found Joan Barnes wallet after 59 years. The wallet was found when repairs were being made on a water pipe, which lead to a area in the former high school that used to house girl’s lockers. Barnes said she will return the wallet after receiving it for keeping it in the school archives.

Honestly, people losing things. First, I think it is awstruck amazing that this women was able to get here wallet back. Second, I do not think it is right to be mean about this however I am going to be. Why does the news find it neccessary to find stories about items that are returned after being lost for over 40 years. As I reported on this blog last month here.  I am shocked however that they found it so long after the fact. They must not go down into that part of the school very often.

Delta doesn’t give a F*** about you! :)

  • February 7, 2007 9:15 pm

Note: This article is written from an unfair prospective. Frankly, most airlines are horrible. If I have to fly I give my bussiness to Northwest or Southwest if at all possible.

A man whose camera was stolen after stupidly(yes he admitted it) putting it into checked luguage. He then proceeded to finish his trip. After arriving home he could not find the camera, called delta, the airport, e.t.c. Finally he checked Ebay! Where to his great suprise the camera had been sold to a bidder. After eight months and the employee being fired, fined and sent to court he finally got his camera back. What’s worse is that Delta did not even give him any compensation for his trouble. I say let’s boycott delta airlines! They are fininacial trouble anyways so why not let them go out of bussiness!

Will students have to do their homework?

  • February 7, 2007 9:07 pm

School Shortcut, a U.K. based website has launched and is providing a interactive community for students and teacher alike to figure out homework problems. I can see several problems with this. First, teacher may get involved with a student scandal. Second, the site even says in one of its main text areas, “Too bored or too lazy to do your homework?”. What is this? Cheaters “R” US! Best of all, they are making money off of this. I think that this website is further demoralizing our students. As a student in the United States, it is frowned upon to cheat. I would have to imagine that it would be the same case in the United Kingdom but after today it makes me wonder.

Keith Urban, the famous country singer is suing U.S. oil painter Keith Urban over using keithurban.com! Keith Urban is accussing Keith Urban of copyright infringment and cyber-squatting(amazing there is a crime for it). The site is linked in the article below.

I didn’t know their was such a think as cyber-squatting Mr. Urban! Honestly, put up a stupid disclaimer and call it off. Another option is you could always pay the painter several million dollars to sell the domain name, so you could keep it.  There is so much more better things to do than get in a fight with a country singer over a stupid domain name. I think that this case will be found in the name of the domain owner or will be setteled out of court before it is begun.

BABY SHOCKED WITH STUN GUN!

  • February 5, 2007 6:16 pm

A man was arrested after shocking his 18 month old son repeatedly with a stun gun. Rian James Whittman, 21, was arrested at about 10:20 on Saturday Febuary 3rd after the baby’s mother called Albany police and reported abuse allegations. Allegedly, Whittman used the 100,000 volt stun gun on his sun multiple times over a three week period. Whittman’s son was serized by child protective services and taken to Samaritan Albany General Hospital where he is currently undergoing treatment for injuries recieved from the stun gun.  Whittman faces

  • Assault in the Second Degree (3 counts)
  • Criminal Mistreatment in the First Degree

More information on this case can be found at the link below.

I sadly, cannot put this in bizzare and offbeat. Tragiclly, child abuse is becoming a growing phenomena in our nation. This is a tragic story, luckily the victim is still alive. Considering the victims age I think we should be thankful he didn’t DIE!  I hope Mr. James Whittman is convicted and sent to prison for a long time. May he rest in peace.

Peanut Butter banned in your HOUSE!

  • February 5, 2007 6:07 pm

Los Ranchos Huevos, California- Los Ranchos Huevos school district has banned peanut butter in student’s home’s after a student died last year when brushing off the crumbs of peanut butter toast of another classmate in home room.  School district officials will give leaway for students to get peanut products out of their home’s. However, if students continue to choose to keep peanut products in their home’s their parents must label them with a sign.

This IS the most stupid action I have seen from a school dsitrict. On what ground does Los Ranchos Huevos school district have on my ability to enjoy a twix bar in my household? They have NONE.  I would not get rid of peanut butter products from my house. I personally used to be allergic to peanuts but since have recovered from that allergy. I certainly wouldn’t be so stupid to send it to school with my child, I completely agree with the schools ground on that but I refuse to allow the school to barge into my house and tell me what to do.

Tagging vs. Not Tagging.

  • February 4, 2007 12:50 pm

I’d like to start out that thispost may be biased as I have disagreed with Pew Polls results on their polls before. An example is their podcast poll(no link availible).  The results of that were highly contested with a number of podcasters as well as the podcasting community. However, I digress.

Pew Polls newest poll is over the percentage of people who tag anything on the internet. Personally, I refuse to tag any of my articles on this blog.  It is just my personal prefrence. Tagging anything takes time. If you are looking for a particular topic I have a great search feature or links to each of my categories of posts, and months.

Back on topic Pew Polls says that 28% of the internet users have tagged content, be it pictures, news stories or blog posts. I think this is a tad bit overestimated. Taggers are classic early adapters, under 40, and with a high level of income and education. Minorities are a small bit more likely to tag than white people.

All in all tagging isn’t all that great. Google does a fine job of doing it for you and I have found no conclusive evidence that tagging is needed on the internet.

Principal found hanged!

  • February 4, 2007 12:24 pm

A principal who leaked teacher’s exam questions in Japan was found hanged in the mountains. He was found hanged with the same clothes he was wearing. The principal evidently held a seminar about how to become a teacher after recieving answers to the exam from senior officials.

Wow, can I start off by saying that thank GOD we do not live in such a horrible place in the U.S. I am proud to say no one is hanged for cheating. Sadly, the punishments for cheating in Japan appear much stricter. I don’t think this will end up well at all.

  • February 4, 2007 12:11 pm

Police Chief Richard Knoebel didn’t decide to take the easy way out that he could have for passing a school bus.  The story did not become clear until it was reported by a West Bend newspaper, that he had fined himself. The chief realzied the issue only after passing the school bus.

I got to say, well done Police Chief Richard Knoebel.  You are the one in a thousand who stays honest and doesn’t try and take the easiest way out of a problem. You should feel proud that you stood up for yourself and did the right thing. This weeks best person of the week: Police Chief Richard Knoebel

Grand Central, One Number…for Life!

When roaming through the blog of allfreecalls.net’s founder I found a website called Grand Central. At first, I though to myself, maybe this is a company that is going to charge me a monthly fee of $20 or $30 to use their site, very similar to a call forwarding service. To my amazement, when I signed up they had me enter my area code and several numbers from towns nearby showed up, I was astonished to say the least. Then, I continued the signup and got my Grand Central number set to use my cell phone number, low and behold it worked! The best part about Grand Central is you have four options with your calls.

  1. Accept it
  2. Send it to voicemail
  3. Listenin on voicemail
  4. Accept and record

I have all of the options and particularily like the feature of sending it to voicemail and then being able to decide whether it is important enough to pick up. To recieve those calls at my work, home or cell phones is great! During their beta you can have your Grand Central number forward to up to six numbers or a “quick rule”. A quick rule can either send all your calls to voicemail or send all your calls to a tempoary number, say for example your only going to be availible on your cell phone.

Grand Central also allows you to customize the heck out of your number! You can have different groups forward to different phones. You can record your name. You can use RingShare(Trademarked). Where you can upload mp3′s and customize them for each of your groups. Also, if you want everyone to be the same that’s really simple as well! Just leave groups untouched and settings will be the same for everyone.

All in all, Grand Central is looking to be one of the BEST phone carriers I have ever dealt with. While it’s true they might not be a true phone carrier, they sure are going to be having my service for a very long time.

Prisoners get drunk off hand sanitizer.

  • February 2, 2007 5:19 pm

There is cause for concern in Maryland after prisoners got drunk off of a 140 proof or 70% alcohol hand sanitizer used in jails. The state did not do its homework and is reaping the downsides. However, they are currently looking into buying hand sanitzer that is much safer and does not provide a drunk stupor when dranken.

Come on Maryland, you used to be some of the smarter people in New England, you sorta ruined it now with this stint. Why can’t you look at the stinkin’ ingriedients and see, alcohol 70%! Man, I sure wouldn’t make this mistake again.
