Teen’s Sentenced Lengthened…

  • March 29, 2007 2:40 pm

Guess why? She had a contraband cup.

The school district is accused of being discriminatory against her and other black children.  The white judge also gave a 14 year old white girl probation after burning down her family’s home.  However, Creola, her mother did not seem to keen on the idea of plea bargains.  The offer was a guilty plea on a misdemeanor charge would land her in probation.  The judge gave Creola a second chance to manage Shaquanda by home-supervised probation but Creola refused.  This caused the judge to sentence Shaquanda to one year in a detention facility.

Pretty sad.  Come on school district do not discriminate.  I however think the judge was correct here because he gave the mother two choices, even one after being guilty to have her daughter come out without jail time.  However, the school district is at fault as it seems to be discriminating based on prior offenses. Come on a 5 day suspension would have done here. What about security cameras?

Killer Wedgie

Come on, this just keeps getting more bizzare.  Get your mind out of the gutter fox.  Why is there a 13 year old in high school?

I hope this goes through.  I also hope they choose a 7-11 near me.  Great brand advertising don’t you think? Too bad Fox didn’t get behind the eight ball and draw up plans to build it’s own Kwik-E-Marts.

Thank God! I hate this series makes me happy that it will finally be over as of April 17th.

The first new Tolkien novel for 30 years is to be published next month. In a move eagerly anticipated by millions of fans across the world, The Children of Húrin will be released worldwide on 17 April.

Tolkein’s family probably could use the income, although his books have continued to sell well the last cinematic feature was four years ago.

Two teens killedat exact same spot within 24 hours

  • March 26, 2007 4:05 pm

Now this is a very tragic event and my heart goes out to these families but what are the odds?  How could two people die in the same spot in 24 hours?  This isn’t even a high mortality city, or state. I checked.

One teen was killed when he lost control of a minivan he was driving and hit a pole.  Another teen died during an incident where he was playing guitar as a tribute and was hit by a hit and run driver.

I hope they find whoever did this and I sure hope these cases are not related.

School Ban’s myspace

  • March 25, 2007 11:15 am

Lawsuit here we come!

St. Hugo of the Hills a private school in Detroit gave students an ultimatum, take down your Myspace or leave school.  School officials called this bluff on March 20th.  I checked with my sources at Fox 2 in Detroit and they still have not been able to reach St. Hugo’s for comment.  This is just absurd!

The school’s website also pointed out that the Myspace sites of some students violate the school’s internet policy against inappropriate comments, pictures and harassment.

St. Hugo’s, you know that what kids do at home cannot be inforced in school, even a private school correct? Come on! These people are just bizzare!

I am gonna talk about my favorite of the group of paid advertisers. That is pay per post. Total I have made to date on this blog with pay per post is $41.00 including this post. All of that money will be paid on or before April 24th, 2007. That doesn’t even include the spectacular offers they have. 100% of the money I gain from this blog goes right back into it. That means that all the money I am getting from pay per post while not going directly back into THIS blog will be going into my other blogging projects. I am planning on buying a reseller server as you may or may not know and using it to start up krispyblogs.com. That site will be launching in June. Hopefully I will be able to use pay per post on that site as well but it might take a while as pay per post requires 90 days to accept your blog. Hopefully by the end of this month I will have made at least 50.00. I think that is going to be my goal. 50.00 a month from pay per post. If you have a blogs. Why not check out pay per post?

A California women who tried to help her friend in a car may be rendered a criminal.  The 2nd District Court of Appeal wrote in a decision Wednesday that the Good Samaritan law only protects people from liability if they are administering emergency medical care. The perceived danger of remaining in the wrecked car was not “medical,” the court ruled.

And we expected this from the most liberal court in the country.  Sadly, court’s are not allowed to comment on ongoing cases so I did not take the time to look up their contact information.   Come on California, get your act together! Je z.

Have you ever gotten a loan? I have and they are a pain in the butt. Luckily, I had a secured loan. Although some of my friends have taken out unsecured loans. Take for example my friend Bill. He took out an unsecured loan on his speed boat he bought, ended up losing it. This wrecked his credit score and now all the loans he have left are at such a high APR it isn’t even funny. They have taken away Bill’s car as well because of his unsecured Loan failing on his boat. Personally, I have always taken secured loans and not had a problem to this day. Unsecured loans seemed to risky and secured loans in my area tend to offer better rates. Bill had to move all of his loans over to a bad credit loan company.

Abortion or $500?

  • March 23, 2007 10:28 pm

Which would you choose? One Texas lawmaker wants you to be able to have that choice.   Republican State Sen. Dan Patrick, who sponsored the bill wants women to keep their babies and put them up for adoption.  The bill would pay the mother’s $500 to give their babies up for adoption no more than 30 days after they are born.

What world do we live in!  This law would violate state and federal laws making child selling illegal. No big surprise there!  I like the idea but you must make the wording solid.  You will pay the mother’s $500 to have their babies, that would sound legitimate.  You also would pay them $500 to not have an abortion, great idea!  BUT NOT $500 to put them up for adoption.  This sounds like an episode of Cold Case.

Wonder if you can be an accessory to murder online? I can’t look it up here as it applies in the United Kingdom but I would defiantly think that would be true. What about using a computer to commit a crime? That is another felony here. Wow, just wow. I am happy to report that I am glad some users tried to talk him down. Someone should of done an ip ping of him  and called the local cops asap.  They took way too long. What is PalTalk’s policy on moderator ship? Apogee web search is a very unique entity, they provide similar services to Google, but actually have been around longer. The SEO industry is going through a period of revitalization as I mentioned in a few other posts here. From what I see, Apogee seems to be a solid, established and well planned company. They drive targeted visitors, something I require if I am going to use your service. Apogee also provides a marketing blog from a unique perspective. However, search engines outside of the big 3(Google, Yahoo, Msn) really are not going to get the job done anymore. You have to offer something unique, crisp to the industry to get your blog. Apogee is a very good company to watch as they climax in the next few quarters. However, I doubt they will last much longer.

Swiss dig world’s longest tunnel

  • March 21, 2007 2:20 pm

Does it have a great echo?  The swiss transportation community has long since relished at the thought of having a transportation route that would speed up the time to cross the difficult terrain.  They have now built the world’s longest tunnel to solve this problem.  This is not a passenger tunnel however, but rather a freight train tunnel.  The Swiss think their growing trade business is best handled by trains. Now see the only bad part is this isn’t even going to be finished until 2018.  They have had quite an increase but there are going to be more problems before there are any solutions. Let’s just hope the Swiss can get it done.

The Wrap up of Today’s News #4

Colorado- Suzanna Shell is suing the Internet Archive, better known as The Wayback Machine for infringing on her website. The charges include breech of contract, conversion and civil theft. Mrs. Shell’s website has a line dictating that no spiders can process her website. Wonder if she used a robot.txt? Come on Mrs. Shell this is 2007! If you don’t want your site spidered why have it on the internet.

Eskridge, Kansas- Maisie DeVore, age 83 collected pop cans for over 30 years to build a community pool for the town of Eskridge. Eskridge has a population of 600 people. Her efforts are amazing! A link to the pools site is at the bottom in addition to the story. This story may be old but has reappeared and is very heart warming.

Anderson, Alaska- Daryl Frisbee’s Social Studies class at Anderson High School shows us how great homesteading can be. The class came up with a presentation so that with a $500 deposit you can build on a pristine lot and pay virtually nothing except the cost of building your home. The idea behind the project is to bring more development to Anderson. There is no gas station or grocery store for up to 20 miles away. I hope this works out great as it is a terrific idea. I doubt my Social Studies classes could have figured this out.

Teacher Affair Epidemic

  • March 18, 2007 1:51 pm

Wow, and the husband sure must be jealous.  This is another tragic example of how kids most at-risk end up being played like chumps by trusted adults and either seriously injured, hurt or killed.  There is not just one teacher affair but TWO I am seeing.

Teacher wanted to have sex with a student above the age of consent but it is still illegal in Washington because of a law passed in 2001 that prohibits K-12 teachers from having sex with students.  Come on! You knew it was a law!

What is up with this ludicrous action!  These teachers must be getting something done.  What do we need next some mental checks on all teachers? This is just getting insane and I am sure that it is happening more frequently than we think.  And no, I do not think every teacher is a rapist. There just seems to be a heck of a lot of them out there at the moment.  Come on government do something about this!

With the proliferation of online search engines, there seems to be a new comer raising a lot of attention. Megaglobe is raising a lot of attention from what I found with a quick search on Google.  They are going to be BIG evidently.  I contacted Megaglobe for press credentials shortly before writing this.  Hope they will give them to me I love giving anything a fair stick.

Megaglobe is promising a new technology called Pay per valid click.  Instead of pay per click which is widely used and prone to abuse, their technology claims to reduce fraud.    It all seems a little fishy to me.  There are many competitors to Megaglobe such as Google, Yahoo, and the plethora of paid to search sites that are operating all over the internet today.  I think I will watch this site but don’t expect it to get anywhere, at all really.

Maybe it is the fact that London needs to get some laws to crack down on parents who do not supervise their children.  It is evident something drastic needs to be done or more murders will be committed.

You know, one thing is true about society today, we have so much great music but much of it comes from unsigned bands. There are also many great unsigned bands that have been dropped from major record labels. I have been talking about them. Black Lab is a great example, with the whole BRTC event coming up next Thursday with black lab but Country artists as well. On a brighter note, independent labels and country artists are making great strides with independent labels and making up for lost time with the likes of Sony and BMG. Keep no rocking you unsigned bands. You are the people who make up the greatest music anywhere, including the internet. Rock ON! By the way, I love country artists. :)

Radioblogclub Moving

I enjoy radio blog club or RBC but so do a lot of other people it seems.  They are having so much stress put onto their servers that they are moving their servers.  For those of you who do not read techcrunch or the numerous number of other blogs that covered this story, here is an explantion of RBC’s content.  RBC has a widget you can embed into any site that will allow you to play music uploaded to third party hosting by the community.  They have everything from Beyoance to Bach.  I was consdering putting a widget in on my blog but I do not like blogs that have widget’s that play music installed.  I also recently signed up for mybloglog.com and tried that out for a few days but was not impressed.  I believe that blogs can have their own communities built around them and do not need all the widgets in the world to accomplish that.

Quizno’s Owner Shoots Himself

I personally know a family who owns a Quizno’s. They are forced to price things exuberantly high. It’s hard to own a franchise. This poor man accuses Quizno’s
of ruining his life. This is very concerning. I do wish the best to his family. Honestly, why would you shoot yourself in the back three times even if a chain ruined your life? Come on people, this is why there is 1-800-suicide. This is just very concerning. However, franchising is not a great way of making money as you have to pay the chain for pretty much everything.
