Most of Canada would fail immigration test
Canadians failed 65% of the time when asked questions from a test for immigrants. Canadians seems to be lacking common knowledge about their country. The Ipsos-Reid survey also called for a specil citizenship exam to be a requirement for all high school graduates.
Now, do you think that Canada should a) go back to school b) not care c)Issue a subpoena for the pollers to be sent to a secret terrorisim detention facilty or d) none of the above. I think sadly the answer will be B. I hope America can do better than this about knowing about their country!

Gas Stations:A good idea
This seems a little bizzare but if you go to the gas station right around 8-10 P.M. at night, at least around here, they tend to have lower prices. Many stations are closing and do not want the excess fuel in their tanks, even though that seems kind of strange. Try it sometime and tell me if this tip helps you at all. Also, if you have an iGoogle try adding the gas station module displaying the lowest fuel costs around your town.
Friend Finder
Haven’t we all had a lot of fun with MySpace and Facebook recently? Big media seems to be conquering all those social networking sites. This includes online dating sites like FriendFinder, however, even though their service seems pretty good they have not yet been bought out. I tried setting up a search on Friend Finder and found several people in my area, but not nearly as many as I thought I would have. I think they are better for urban areas.
For example, I tried the city down the road. A city with 78,000 people and Friend Finder found a lot of women. Very nice women! However, the disadvantages of online dating have kept me away from it. For one, online dating is for people a little older and wiser than people my age. Really good things and really bad things can happen from it. However for those brave enough, try Friend Finder out and see if you like it. It was an enjoyable experience for me. Also, make sure you are honest with your information as a lot of people on Friend Finder look like they are trying to make themselves look a little too good.
On the plus side, the site was very user friendly as far as the search and made a lot of sense. Meeting online can open up instant communication, just remember to use due diligence!

I was at a local grocery store this week and was buying some assorted junk food. I have been getting in a really bad habit of using the blog money as junk food money. However, when I went to the automated teller to check out the machine owed me $16.00 in change. First, it gave me $10 then a weird series of noises began. The machine then gave me my change $5.00 in quarters. Finally, I went up to the person working them and she called the manager. They apologized because the store is so large and the manager took so long to get there. They ended up giving me $5 extra for the trouble.

Lottery Thief sets himself on fire
A thief trying to steal lottery tickets from a convienence store near Rome, GA set himself on fire on June 2nd police said. 11alive.com reports that a thief broke into a convience store and within 27 seconds had a fire that totaled the family owned store. The burning thief escaped and police urge everyone, especially health care officials to be on the lookout for the man.
In case you were wondering how much of an idiot do you have to be to light yourself on fire. I think a robber is a pretty good idiot for the job. Health care officials shoujld be on the lookout as the man is still presumed on the loose.

Deportation threatened on 80 year old
A man who has lived in Britain for 78 of his 80 years alive has been threatened with deporatation. The 78 year old women was born in Michigan but moved to Scotland when she was 2. Her passport was not stamped by the home office of Britain after she applied for an American passport so she was told she had only 30 days until she would have to return to America.
She said: “I’ve been an illegal immigrant, would you believe, but I’ve paid taxes and done all the things I ought to do. “My mother was Scottish, I married a Scottish policeman, my children were all born in Scotland so I assumed I was a Scot too. I wasn’t aware that I wasn’t a British citizen. “I have five days left until I could be tossed out of the country. I’m not terribly pleased about that. “I don’t know anyone in America. I would just be fair lost, to put it mildly, but I really don’t think there’s any more I can do. I don’t think it will happen but I’m just leaving it in the lap of the gods.”

Emergency Order Issued for Pants
The Baltimore police department are putting in an emergency order for size 36 and 38 pants after they ran out. The shortage is said to be caused by the hiring of 240 new officers. However, it doesn’t help that officers are issued four pairs of pants
“We are officially out,” said Officer Troy Harris, a police spokesman. “We’re putting in an emergency order for those two sizes.”
Wonder who was in charge of pants at the time? That’d be a great job to have! Get foru pairs of pants and get them replaced whenever you need to have them. That is great!
Firefighters Fail Drug Test
Firefighters in Edinburg, Texas fought a warehouse fire that included more than a ton of marijuana. Firefighters who spent just 30 minutes fighting the fire still could test positive for marijuana even though they had air packs on.
Wonder if they are going to exempt the firefighters from the drug test or not. However, you can’t say that free weed is not a bad thing.
Teen unplugs neighbor’s life support machine
A teenager in intensive care unplugged a 76 year old’s life support machine because it was “too noisy”.
“Luckily the medical staff acted promptly and reconnected the life support machine. If there had been any delay the old man could have died.”
As of this time the editor of this blog has no comment on how a teenager can think it is approperiate to unplug medical equipment.

Teen Trustee’s of the Toronto Board of Education are making an effort to hold down homework levels. There have been complaints that student’s receive too much homework especially at the high school level where they hold down jobs, and have a shortened high school career.

Prisoner hides cell phone in butt, bad idea
A United Kingdom prisoner had to be admitted to the hospital after he hide a cell phone in his body and was unable to expel it. Martin Mahoney needed over 200 internal stiches and had to have part of his bladder removed in order to get the phone out of his anus. The UK prison system would like to remind all prisoners and visitors to there facilities that cell phone’s are banned for all persons, especially in your anus.

Fire Truck stolen by Teenager
A 17 year old Florida teeenager was able to steal a fire truck by placing a fake phone call from the repair company. The teenager called the station and told them that the reserve truck would be going in for repairs and that if they were out on a call to leave it behind the station unlocked. However, getting a fire truck started without the key’s is not as simple as one may think. The fire truck went on a 3 mile ride with Michael Bellamy, a 17 year old Florida teenager who volunteered at the fire station.
This issue may have great importance to national security. as fire fighters can access area’s the general public cannot. The FBI, and department of Homeland Security were notified of the theft.

A student and her were having late night sexual encounters at her home according to the investigation. Sources also hinted to the fact that the women’s husband and daughter were home at the time. The county sheriff is still investigating.
I am still amazed that these thing’s can get worse. How can you steal your parent’s car and have sex with a teacher you never even had for a class! Come on you stupid kid, well he’s just 13 that sure isn’t helping him.
Funeral home mistakenly cremates husband, and then it get’s more bizzare
A funeral home in COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho accidentally cremated the husband of DeeDee Strimas. She is suing the funeral home, for “emotional and physical distress”. Her lawsuit is currently at $10,000, a reasonable amount if the funeral home gives you the wrong remains(OOPS!). She also DID NOT want her husband’s prosthetic leg burned with the body. The leg alone was worth $7,000.
Well, just not a good week for English funeral homes in Idaho. They sound like they need to pay this woman for all her troubles and work on getting a marketing rep in there to change their image as soon as possible.
Digital Frames
The newest craze for sharing your photo’s seem to be those digital frames. Have you seen them? Bascilly, you just insert a media card into the back of the camera filled with the pictures you want it to display, set the change rate and it shows a slidshow of all your precious memories. I was really interested in this so I went to go to the local Best Buy in search of a digital photo frame. To my non amazement they are still pretty expensive. However, after looking around at several different model’s they had on display I settled on one and got it rung up. The price came to almost $140 with tax. However, I sure do enjoy it as a great alternative to those pictures on my wall’s that get dirty. Digital picture frames will replace the regular one’s within 10 years I predict. Just wait and see. Local: Teacher bugs colleagues classroom
Flushing, MI- Anne Marie Harvey, is accused of bugging another teacher’s classroom. The alleged reason for the eavesdropping was that her daughter was having problems with this other teacher. The device was found by the bugged teacher on May 18th and was reported. Harvey has been teaching with the Flushing School District for 10 years. She was placed on paid leave after this incident.
So what do you do when you have a problem? Just eavesdrop on the other teacher. It is fine to intrude on people and possibly get convicted of eavesdropping, not! After researching this further the news vine seed was the only available source for this sadly. Oh, well Ms. Harvey’s loss.
Bloomberg rips parking ticket on air
Mayor Michael Bloomberg of New York city received a call from a driver who got more than he expected this week. The mayor was having his weekly radio show on WABC-AM and received a call from Gary. Gary told the mayor he received a paring ticket for parking his pick-up truck in a commercial only zone. The Mayor exclaimed “Congratulations, Gary – you are the winner, you have beat the system”.
Congratulations Mayor Bloomberg for being our most bizzare person of the week. You have won this honor out of greatness for doing a good deed and being a touch odd. Parenting: Mommy can I have some heroin?
Early last week a six year old child at a buffalo day care passed out heroin that he thought was candy. It does not appear that the heroin came from his parent’s home, although his parents currently do not have custody of him. The day care center remains closed.
Wow, wonder where he could have picked up heroin! Maybe at the grocery store, or a local addict? Our America is doing nothing to protect our children, keep your kids away from the six year old drug dealers!

Toddler served margarita
An Applebee’s between San Francisco and Sacramento served Julian Mayorga, a 2 year old toddler a margarita this previous Monday. The toddler ordered apple juice but instead received the margarita in a covered sippy cup. Evidently, the mix up was with the bottles of apple juice and margarita mix being stored next to each other at the bar. Applebee’s has since promised to clearly switch the containers and has paid for Julian’s medical bill’s.
Now, this qualifies for my stupidest person of the week. Congratulations to the Antioch, CA Applebee’s. Thanks for trying to help out the family however.
Another terri schivao?
Jesse Ramirez, 36, a man from around Tuscon, AZ has to be kept on life support after medical staff determined that they did all the could for him and his wife wants to let him go. However, Razmirez’s parents and sister want to keep him alive. The judge ordered that a gaurdian be appointed for Ramirez.
Now, let’s take a spin on the who will kill him wheel. Ramirez has minimal brain activity and his wife wants to legally allow him to die. However, his parents who have no legal rights want to keep him alive. He is 36, not 6! Let his wife make his choices for him. Better yet, please, please put this sort of thing in a legal paper for your families people it is just gettgin ridiculous.
