While my grandfather did not have a grandfather clock, my great grandmother had a grandfather clock. It was beautifully carved out of this red oak and was very ornate. It was also extremely heavy and quite a meticulous item to maintain. Sadly, when she died no one really had space in their house for it and we eventually ended up selling it for quite the pretty penny. I sure wish I would of asked for that beautiful clock today.
So, I went over to this clock website. They have a blog which has a mellow and standard theme but they have a post about Frank Lloyd Wright clocks. However, their website is even better. Every kind of clock imaginable is on their, grandfather clocks, mantel clocks, grandmother clocks, even atomic clocks! I saw this really interesting neon clock by Howard Miller. It has blue neon which would go really well with the new wood floor we are putting in my room.
The only problem is that it might be just a tad bit out of my price range. But I am willing to pay top dollar for the quality. However, when I do get enough money I think I will be buying my new clock on Clocks at 1-800-4CLOCKS.
