Trunk or Treat!
A church near Flint, MI is continuing its tradition of trunk or treat. Trunk-or-treating - sometimes called Halloween tailgating - is growing, with events being held all over Genesee County. It’s when churches, schools or community groups select a spot to park their cars and hand out treats from trunks loaded up with candy. Supporters say that trunk or treating allows parents to keep their children safe and allows them to get more candy.
And we need our children to get more candy on Halloween? I am not dissing the safety issue, this seems great for this but this also seems like a big issue with obesity, kids have to walk less than they would trick or treating and they are getting more candy! That just means more sugar, great diabetics and cavities galore! Although it keeps your child safe, anyways happy Halloween. ![]()
