The United Kingdom and Housing

  • February 5, 2008 7:57 pm

In the United Kingdom buying a house is a huge ordeal due to the whole moving process they go through. One of the parts that can be made easier, actually extremely simple is Mortgages from Earth. You simply enter in your contact and other information to a secure online form and Earth will have a living, breathing person contact you at your phone number. They will have a free quote about your loan and will be able to answer any questions you might have. Now if only my Mortgage company would be that easy! If I ever in the U.K., Earth would be my first choice for a Mortgage lender!

Game O Luv free gifts for your Valentine

  • January 24, 2008 3:24 pm

Overstock.com, the online retailing giant that I have come to know and quite bizarely love, is offer a unique way to get a free gift for your sweetheart on Valentines Day. Game O Love, a clever promotion by Overstock will launch tomorrow. Game O Luv works by using force to win. That’s right, you have to enlist minions(or if you lack evil minions friends help too!) to help you win. I can’t really find all that much on it right now, and the game seems a little shrouded by secrecy until it launches in a little over eight hours.

Overstock.com’s “Game O Love” will be an interesting idea to watch play out. I am not sure exactly how to win, but dang do I ever want to. I am going to pick the most expensive piece of jewelry I can find on there and make sure I win. I have an unending contact list, and Digital Point if that ever runs out. Will you help me beat the competition, I am ready to enter, come on Overstock open this thing up so I can win already, you know I can, no! YOU KNOW I WILL! ARE YOU READY TO WIN?

Sexy Custom Post Cards

  • January 19, 2008 9:10 pm

Recently, I have been getting into the whole affiliate thing. One of the first programs I joined was Vista Print. Vista Print let me show products that I already knew were great and were worth buying, unlike many of the other programs. Anyways, Vista Print has released custom postcards. These post cards can be customized with any image you want. For myself, I would get a picture of Waldo and I printed on them. The post cards are very high quality, as with any Vista print product. And of course, they are super sexy.

One thing about Vista Print, and with their postcards especially, you have to be careful about waiting until the last minute. Things tend to get very expensive in graphic design when you need less than a two week turn around time, this is true of Vista Print as well. This includes their processing time and shipping time. Also, make sure you have a black and white back on your post cards as they do get more expensive when you do two sides in color.  Anyways, make sure you get your Vista Print postcards.  They are of the highest quality and have a low price  promise.  They are even available for any sized order, from 100 to 20,000! Check out Vista Print today.

Valentines Day Gift Ideas

  • January 18, 2008 5:22 pm

You know, Valentines day is fast approaching! Which means that it is time to get the perfect gift for your girl friend, boy friend, husband or wife! One of the things I think would be the best to get my girl friend would be a Zales diamond. In fact, they are so beautiful you should buy more than one. I found some Zales coupons that will help you frugal and sometimes stingy people save a bit. Sure, those diamonds might seem expensive to you right now…but they will be worth it to your sweet heart on Valentines Day.

Now for those of your women shopping for their husbands/boy friends I doubt that they are going to want that same precious diamond. Well, you can get them a very nice T.V. or Laptop from Circuit City. Here are some Circuit City deals to help you out with the sticker shock. Although, why not just use his credit card? Come on, its going to be for him so I doubt that he will care all that much…well at least hopefully!

Also, CouponChief.com has a ton more stores that have coupons. You can find pretty much any major brand there and get a great discount code. So, just remember to buy your loved ones a great gift for Valentines day, otherwise you might be left with a sour relationship!

Picking a web host

  • January 6, 2008 7:16 pm

One of the things that is most crucial, at least that I have found is picking a good host for your website.  You want a host you can stay with for a good long time that provides a high level of support for you and your website.  This is extremely important if you have a popular website, because if you have a bad host and get slammed by traffic from Digg, a viral video, etc what are you going to have to show for it?  There is some help in picking a good web host.  eHardware Guide has a guide for hosting websites that does a great job at helping you pick the great web host.  All the hosts they feature have cPanel control panel, the ultimate control panel for hosting, I would not use anything but cPanel because I love it so much.  Also, all the hosts they feature have the ubiquitous MySQL support.

You can search eHardware Guide for thousands of cities in the United States.  They feature a ton of cities in each state and they all have great web hosts that provide service in them.  So remember, if you need to find a web host that can support you and your website for a very long time, I would check out eHardware Guide for more information.  Good luck in your hosting plans and don’t forget to email me your success stories about web hosting!

ShoutBack giving back to the community

  • January 4, 2008 6:08 pm

I just found out about a new startup, named shoutback that allows you to give back to your community. You can shop, sell and do more to benefit your kids sports team, your church, or your children’s school. The only issue with Shoutback currently, is that they need new groups to work with. That’s right, signup and create a group for your church, school, or other community group.

Rudolph the awesome hosting plan

  • January 4, 2008 3:14 am

I have been looking at Commission Junction and their offering for web hosting affiliate programs and what the web hosts have to offer, it just hasn’t been good enough. I finally found a web host who is willing to live up to a high standard. THC has support online nearly 24/7 from what I have seen and their offering is AMAZING. THC, Top Hosting Center offers 250 GB Disk Space, 3000 GB Bandwidth, PHP 4, and unlimited MySql. They also are giving you a FREE DOMAIN FOR LIFE, well as long as they are in business or you have the account that is. I didn’t mention this, woops, the plan is NINTY FIVE DOLLARS FOR LIFE! That’s just one payment of $95 that gets you all that goodness. Some people pay $95 a month to get that much disk space and bandwidth. THC decided they wanted to give it to you in one easy payment.

But alas there are a few catches. First, no transferring. If your friend wants a Rudolph plan tell them to come register. Only 1000 will EVER be sold. Once they reach 1000, no new registrations will be accepted. If THC goes out of business you get to keep the domain, you will just have to pay for the domain fees each year and find a new host. However, they don’t plan on doing that. I think this is a great chance to get some REALLY cheap web hosting. This is FIRE SALE pricing that I am seeing here, if you do not buy yourself one of these plans you are really going to kick yourself in the butt.

International Calling

  • December 18, 2007 9:32 pm

Many of you readers know that I am planning on going to France this summer. Well, most of your probably do not know that I use my cell phone obsessively throughout my day. That’s why I have been looking into some options for when I go to France this summer. Packet 8 is a nifty mobile voip provider that will let you call many countries for much less than my current cell phone provider Verizon would. For example, Verizon is currently charing $1.49 per minute to call to France. Packet 8 charges $9.99 per month plus 3 cents per minute, a great value for people who call moderately to heavily to France or any other number of foreign countries. The special rates only if you are calling from the U.S. to these countries.

Plus, its only $9.99, sure that might be what it costs to add a line at other cell providers but Packet 8 has world class support. Packet 8 also lets you try out their service risk free for 30 days. Oh and don’t forget that unlike international calling cards and other similar services Packet 8 lets you dial directly to the number you wish to call, no pins and no complex dialing instructions. Simple and easy to use, Packet 8 just keeps getting better and better. I am going to be looking at their competition, but I really doubt anyone can beat Packet8! Don’t forget that you can keep in touch with friends and family across the globe.

The special rates are only available when you call from the US to another country.

Found yourself a Host yet?

  • December 17, 2007 1:25 am

I have been up to my usual procrastination and would like to say that I have been getting a heck of a lot more traffic for doing NOTHING at all. Right now I have more than enough bandwidth but my disk space is a little bit on the small side. So I figured, why not look for a new web host. If not for real, it will at least let me keep procrastinating. Well I found some extremely interesting Web Hosting Services from Network Solutions. Like for what I am paying right now I can get 2 more GB of disk space and 3 times the amount of bandwidth. I have to admit, bandwidth seems to be getting darn cheap these days.

However, on the down side Network Solutions doesn’t allow nearly as many email accounts or domain pointers as my current host does. FTP accounts are also really restricted. Then again, I am comparing a shared hosting account to a reseller. Network Solutions has been around for a very long time though and they know what they are doing. They have 24/7 tech support and a free domain name with purchase. Although, Network Solutions is a domain registrar as well. Check out Network Solutions if you are looking for some Web Hosting.

The Master bedroom clock gets it…

  • December 17, 2007 12:36 am

So the master bedroom clock decided to die last night. Of course, it is a great thing that it is in the corner where we are going to be knocking out a wall. It is part of our whole renovation of the bath area in the master bedroom, but I will talk about that in a future post. So I went searching around Google. I found these awesome wall clocks. It’s actually a company I had heard of a while back. The nice thing about 1-800-clocks.com is that they have a blog about their company as well. They talk about a ton of different topics on this blog. Everything from grandfather clocks to wall clocks is discussed on a simple yet elegant blog.

1-800-clocks.com is exclusively selling Howard Miller clocks. That means you have a great selection of quality clocks to choose from. You don’t have to waste your time looking at all the other knock off and junk brands. If you haven’t gotten your favorite blogger a gift for Christmas, why not buy him a Howard Miller clock? I am sure he will enjoy the free shipping and you will enjoy the zero percent financing. Well, if you don’t have a favorite blogger and are just looking for a useful clock why not check out 1-800 clocks.com?

Traveling to Chicago

  • December 14, 2007 11:24 pm

I love Chicago. I have had the pleasure of both living in the city and visiting it. Its a great place to live and all, but its so much nicer to visit. You feel almost engulfed by all the constant hustle and bustle. There is too much to do on a trip that just lasts a few days. I always hate getting used to the one hour time difference too! Well, if you think you won’t have enough time while your in Chicago, you should subscribe to the Trusted Travel eNewsletter. Trusted Tours newsletter will help you get information about getting tickets for the hottest events in Chicago. Plus, if you subscribe before December 31st you could win a free iPod nano just for subscribing.

For those of you thinking about going to Chicago, there really is no great off peak time to go. Which is both good and bad news for the average tourists. The bad news is, airfare and hotel rates are skyrocketing in Chicago thanks to all the tourists all year. The good news is, you will always be able to find something to do! Plus, you don’t need to even rent a car as you can take the “L” right from O’Hare airport to downtown. So go on over to Chicago, enjoy yourself for a week or a weekend. Plus if your looking for some tickets while your are in Chicago check out Trusted Tours, you might be glad you did!

FREE ADVERTISING

  • December 14, 2007 10:49 pm

Doesn’t this scream scam? I am joking of course, as this is a true offer. Adknowledge is the company behind Bidsystem.  Bidsystem is a trusted company in the Pay Per Click industry, you know the companies that pay every time someone clicks something on your site.  Actually, Bidsystem with specialized increased scalability, pays only when it has been shown that consumers have the highest probability of converting based on their past behavior. Well Adknowledge is trying to get more advertisers and is willing to give $50 in FREE PPC Advertising to anyone who wants to try them out. Adknowledge is a fairly large company delivering ads from 50,000 advertisers to most of the top 500 websites on the internet.

Adknowledge also says that their text ads are up to 30% off the cost of other PPC advertising companies such as Yahoo and Google. If that is true, I really would like to see if they are very profitable. I would be honored to serve their ads on my site. Plus, they might have actually click fraud control. Unlike certain other companies that just randomly decide what clicks are valid and which are not.  So if you want a broader reach in your PPC advertising, try using Adknowledge! They have $50 in free advertising and 1200 unique categories for advertisers to choose from.

Visa Gift Cards

  • December 9, 2007 2:04 am

I need to get a Visa Gift Card this week. This one will be for $1,000 to buy my laptop, but I also am going to be buying one for my Dustin for Christmas. For Dustin’s I am considering getting the Gift Card customized. GiftCardLab lets you customize a picture on an otherwise plain, dull, boring looking credit card. You can upload your own pictures for the gift card making it truly a great gift. I am sure that Dustin will appreciate the cash on the card but I think he will also enjoy the picture on the card which will last much longer than the cash. I need to get to the bank Monday and get myself my Visa Gift Card, and then go to GiftCardLab to get my custom one for Dustin. Hurry, otherwise you might not get it in time for Christmas.

L.A. Lawyers and Criminal Defense

  • December 9, 2007 1:45 am

I watched this halirious talk show with Heather Chandler on E! tonight. However, the best part is when they comment on all the celebrities and particularly the celebrity antics. They were talking about how Brittany Spears was 12 hours late for her photo shoot and commenting that she might be driving drunk. However, if she was drunk there is a blog called the Los Angeles Criminal Attorneys | California Criminal Defense Lawyers | Felony Misdemeanor DUI Specialists that will help her win her case. L.A. can be a brutal place, so I think Brittany Spears should be represented by someone who can truly help her.  Plus, these lawyers look like they are ready to go all in for you, you don’t see that type of appearance everyday.

My friend I know is moving to Dubai!

  • December 7, 2007 10:31 pm

I have just found out that one of my friends is moving to Dubai! This comes as a rather large shock to me as General Motors is actually transferring him there! You would think because of all the recent turmoil in the automotive industry they would not be relocating people in the U.S., let alone to Dubai! Well, I guess he is going. He does not know exactly when but his boss said the are going to be lining up an apartment for him. Dubai apartments are in great demand because of how big Dubai is becoming as a world power. My friend gave me the link to a dubai hotel apartments locater. Their cheapest property is $4,900 USD per month! With most apartments around here being $600-$700 this is quite a bit more than you would think. It seem more like they are running dubai hotels.

However, since G.M. would be footing the housing bill these are very nice properties. I like the property where you live on the giant sand palm tree called Palm Jumeirah. These are only meant for temporary occupancy until G.M. could find him an actual house. But 2,260 feet for one person is plenty of room. It has 3 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms. Pets aren’t allowed which is a bummer if I wanted to take Waldo to visit him, which I probably wouldn’t anyways due to the whole flying thing. But it does have access to a public pool, which in the desert is a very good thing! It also is on a beautifully landscaped road. With the housing shortage in Dubai right now, I think this would be a great place to live permanently as well as temporarily. Maybe I’ll rent it if I ever head out to the United Arab Emirates. I would love to go shopping on Palm Jumeirah and I could meet up with Tyler, my friend. Well, hopefully I will get to enjoy a dubai hotel someday!

Virgil’s Varying Variety of Vanity Gift Baskets

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Ahhh, the Christmas shopping season. Don’t you love it when you see the people scrambling at shopping malls to get the perfect gift for their giftee(Yeah, that is a NEW word)? Luckily, for my friend Breezie, she will know what I am thinking about giving her. I have talked about previously how I thought I should get her a gift basket. Well these Virgil’s Gift Baskets are looking really awesome. Virgil’s Holiday Gifts also look cute, especially the Deluxe Holiday Stocking. Who would think you could get an awesome stocking with that great of a price!  Plus, the stocking would be reusabale year after year, great for someone who just had a baby.  The mother gets the contents and the baby gets a brand new quality stocking for Christmas’s to come.

However, the gift I think I am going to choose for Breezie will probably be the Virgil’s Soap Sampler. It has the best price of all the different items I saw on Virgil’s website, and the most items for its price as well. Plus, I think she will enjoy the different scented soaps and hopefully have a wonderful Christmas. What would you buy if you had the chance to get a friend something from Virgil’s?

Sweeney Todd

  • November 30, 2007 10:53 pm

I am a huge fan of horror movies, however, this new movie Sweeney Todd has gone over the top as far as a horror movie. Sweeney Todd, played by Johnny Depp, used to be called Benjamin Barker before he was deported to Australia by a lustful judge who wanted nothing but his wife. Sweeney Todd makes his way back to Britain intent on getting revenge on the judge who threw him into a time of trial and tribulation. For more on the plot, you will just have to go out to the movie theater and watch it.  However, my favorite revenge scene is Mr Todd with the help of Mrs Lovett(his wife), then starts to plot revenge on those that have done him wrong, including the sherrif who imprisoned him.  The Sheriff is out for Mrs Lovett, Sweeney Todd’s wife.
Reading up more about the movie online, you can click here to visit the official Sweeney Todd movie site, showed me that this was originally made a movie back in the 1920′s. I think it would be great to see that version compared to today’s version. Oh, and don’t forget that this movie has now been officially rated “R” in the United States, so that means use discretion when taking young kids to see it as it has all sorts of sexual references as well as some alcohol references. However, it looks like Sweeney Todd will get his revenge and I cannot wait to see it, can you? Feel free to visit Sweeney Todd on MySpace

Biotene, Ninja picture style

Yes, that is my soap container in the corner. But thats not what I am here to talk to you about today! I want to tell you about the awesome Biotene Sensitive toothpaste I was sent. My teeth are very sensitive to the cold, yes that is something you probably didn’t know about me, my mouth is overall is a very sensitive area. I gag easily, but we really don’t need to go into that, now do we? Well I tried some Biotene this past weekend, and then decided to stay up after I had gotten ready to go to sleep. I tend to do that a lot as well, as you can see by the timestamps on some of these posts!

Well, I went downstairs and got a bowl of ice cream, usually, something that is eaten in very little quantity. So I stood down there eating and I could not feel my teeth hurting! So I took some more ice cream out and had some more, boy, did it taste good! The best part is that the Biotene didn’t mask the problem, but resolved it! I haven’t found a sensitive toothpaste that would of worked nearly as well! So I would encourage you to go out and get some Biotene for yourself. For those of you with sensitive teeth, you will be especially glad you did!

Watching the gold price

  • November 25, 2007 2:12 am

As if I had nothing better to do, one of my friends said he spent an hour yesterday watching the gold price. It turns out he was watching it because he wanted to call Monex Deposit Company if the price went down far enough to buy some more. Gold is a good thing to invest in as its price is only going up, up, up! He told me Monex will bring the gold directly to your door or take it to an independent bank or depository for safe storage. I think the bank would keep my gold if I ever bought any. So, if you need gold or any other precious metals consider giving Monex Deposit Company a look at the next time you are looking for some.

AAMCO Drive Hard and Die Hard

  • November 23, 2007 11:25 pm

AAMCO is offering a Drive Hard Die Hard movie promotion at all of their locations. You can go to the secret website, linked above and get two valuable coupons for auto service at AAMCO locations. I think that alone is pretty awesome, but AAMCO makes it even better by giving away a trip for two to Hollywood. AAMCO is a nifty company as well, I knew I had heard of them before I just could not put my finger on where. It turns out that I drive past one all the time when I go up to my grandparents house! No wonder I remember.

Well, AAMCO provides some great incentives to get your auto service done with them as well, they offer free towing with any major repair, which costs them around $100 right there! They have certified technicians at all of their nearly 800 stores around the United States and Canada. Oh, and because AAMCO is a chain they can offer better than dealer prices on most services. That is probably the part I like the best. Anytime you can get something on the same or better quality for a cheaper price, go for it. Who wouldn’t! So if you want a chance to go to Hollywood shoot over to AAMCO dot Com or stop in at your local AAMCO.

Want to hookup?

  • November 23, 2007 12:18 am

I have been looking for new girls online, not that I want to dump my real life one but hey it can never hurt to have more than one avenue.  I joined up over at DateHookup dot com and they have some great people you can meet over there.  Very attractive!  They have busy boards where I talked with some people just a few minutes ago and their groups aren’t half bad either! You can find someone who is interested in the same thing as you! Why nt check out Datehookup, I am going to be staying a registered member there, I like it much better than any of the other servics I have tried yet! P.S., if you snag a date you can find a great place to take him/her on Datehookup as well.

VOIP for HSN

  • November 22, 2007 11:55 pm

I was watching a Home Shopping Network special tonight about Gateway and they were bragging about how they have answer support calls in 27 seconds on average.  I was like, yeah right if that is even possible!  However, with Uplogix’s unique VOIP Monitoring I can see it is very really.  I was amazed after looking at Envoy, Uplogix’s administration center.  They have a great system that has 100% uptime, even where you VOIP is down.  They also use today’s strongest availible encryption methods to make sure VOIP packets are not comprimised.  And of course, they have to have stellar uptime as they promise you the ability to access the administration panel even when your VOIP server might be down!

Confrence Rooms on demand

  • November 22, 2007 1:36 am

I have always thought that having a real life office is wasteful, most of your business that needs a office is just mail. However sometimes, you do need a conference room to meet with clients in. Business Suites has Columbia Office Space as well as office space in 20 other cities across the United States.  That means you can rent a conference room for as little or long as you want.  Business Suites has multiple conference rooms at each office location.  They also have a cafe where you can have some coffee and relax for a few minutes after meeting with clients or watch television in their lounge.

Author House Print on Demand

  • November 21, 2007 2:22 pm

I have always though about writing a book and believe me if I had a strong enough will I would! However, getting that book published would probably be rather hard as most major publishers don’t want to deal with the little guy. However, Author House is here to help you! They offer Self Publishing where you can get your book printed on demand. They have a wide variety of features and you can choose whether you want to publish your book in paperback, hard cover, or full color paperback. Author House, allowing authors of all styles to get published.

My Jewlery Box

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

I’ve been perusing real life Jewelry stores, such as those chains you find in the mall and the Online jewelry store I have found and none of the others seem to match up to the online jewelry store. Like I wrote about earlier this week, I have been trying to find my girlfriend a good pair of earrings that are high quality and have a low price tag. High Quality and Low Price are also important to My Jewelry Box. Just from my first glance I could tell that they spent the time and money to have their site designed correctly. I like the footer especially as it gives you a lot more information such as a phone order number and that they ship with my all favorite shipment service, FedEx.

I was considering buying my girlfriend a pair of Diamond Stud Earrings. They are not overly expensive on My Jewelry Box and they would complement her pearl earrings I already bought her. These studs are much more on the pricer end of the Jewelry spectrum, but considering that you are paying for real diamond, these prices are great! You can get 1/5 CTW 14K Gold studs for just $99, perfect if you are just dating someone, or if you are looking for something more lavish and extravagant they have a range of choices to choose from.

Plus, you cannot forget about getting a diamond necklace!  They are almost mandatory for most women these days, I don’t think I have seen a woman without one.  You can check out My Jewelry Box’s prices for those as well, they seem to be very competitive, I am not totally clued into the whole diamond necklace buying market recently so you may want to double check, just to be sure.

Of course My Jewelry Box has much more than just earrings, you can get a whole range of different things such as rings, necklaces and more. Consider checking out My Jewelry Box for your next Jewelry Gift.

The ultimate guide for parents of toddlers

  • November 19, 2007 8:17 pm

I found this site called Lil A Guide which is a sort of social network/store search engine/connecting point for parents of toddlers and babies. It will help you find the best baby store in your area and give you advice on when to start certain activities with your little ones. It is actually run by the same people who own The Knot, which is a wedding planning site. You wouldn’t believe what you can find on the site though. Hey, they almost have the entire family market covered with wedding and baby stuff. Now they just need to move up the age brackets, who knows they may have one in the works.

College time!

  • November 19, 2007 7:01 pm

With some Colleges going to break in the coming months some of you students undoubtedly will need some term papers or essays.  Custom Writing can get you custom essays and custom research papers.  All you have to do is go onto Custom Writing’s website and buy an essay.  They write all of their own papers and they are 100% plagarisim free.  Just think of the great essays you can save precious time and money on if you have the few dollars to cough up!  You could be out enjoying yourself on the town, just remember it is important to do your own work!  Custom Writing, however, can sure help you out!

Freeze it Darn it!

Waldo, a proud user of Freeze It Gel, seriously!

I have talked about Freeze It before here, and I would just like to say that boy am I glad that they are having a contest. I have used Freeze It personally before as well as giving some to other family members, including the family pet Waldo, the golden retriever/wonder dog! Waldo is a very active dog and he enjoys going for runs and jumping up on chairs and such. The other day I had him on a long leather leash like I usually do when I run with him on my bike, but he feel over and hit his left paw on this metal drainage pipe. He limped around for a while and I was beginning to worry about him. Now usually you use Freeze It for Sore Muscles, Body Pain, Arthritis, and Muscular Strains, I figured why should it not work on a dog if it does not work on a human!

So I went up stairs to my safe to find the envelope where I had some Freeze It samples and got one out. I took it downstairs and applied it to Waldo’s left paw. I let it set on there for a few minutes and made sure that he did not lick it or anything. Then I got a rag and some warm water and washed it off. He limped back under the table to rest for a while. When I went after him about 30 minutes later however, he jumped back up and was running around on his paw. I am amazed that he had such a quick recovery and think it was due in great part to Freeze It. So if you have a dog or a human needing a little TLC for some type of muscle pain or similar problem consider using Freeze It, as it is for much more than just humans!

Here is the Freeze IT commercial, not nearly as annoying as their competitors!

My Neighbor Sarah

  • November 18, 2007 9:15 pm

I was out walking earlier today and talked to my neighbor Sarah, who had gone to hair school, or beauty school as some call it. She was telling me how she is giving massages and doing much more than hair now but also told me how she got her beginnings a couple years ago with Regency Beauty Schools. She had to go all the way to Minneapolis back then, but she took some classes a few months ago at a campus closer to us as Regency Beauty school is the fastest expanding beauty school in the country. She was also telling me about giving high quality hair care to the public, for a reduced cost during her training. Now I want to find one of these beauty schools as hair cuts around here cost a fortune!

Pictured above: A beautiful pair of 6.5-7 mm White AAA Quality Freshwater Pearl Earrings.

I was looking into buying my girl friend a pair of pearl earrings for Christmas. Of course it is necessary to start shopping six months before Christmas so that we may all naturally inflate the pockets of the great people of the retail industry. However, I found these beautiful pearls, which included 14 K white gold on the studs. I clicked on them from the homepage and it took me directly to the page with more information and a selection box of which gold I would like. I selected white gold again and was quickly taken to the next page that was also ULTRA simply laid out. It had the phone number for Premium Pearls, the company I was buying from, and their telephone support hours. They also had the tag line, very simply but elequantly stated on the page.

It listed the earings stock status as in stock, and I could change the quantity if I wished, but I figured that she would only really need one pair of the earrings. Next it took me to the shipping/billing page which was still simple but had more information to fill out. I was a bit upset that no PayPal option was included but that is why I have the PayPal Mastercard debit card, then it had some optional fields and such. I LOVE how they ship with FedEx, FedEx is my favorite shipping carrier and I was AMAZED to see that they offered FedEx overnight! That just about made my day. Thank you premiumpearl.com

Students getting credit cards

  • November 18, 2007 2:28 pm

I went out to my local grocery store this morning and saw that someone had setup a table.  I was intrigued so I went over and found out that they were handing out applications for Credit Cards For Students. They actually were flyers about how to go online to Credit Card Search Engine and signup for a credit card. So, I went to Credit Card Search Engine and found out that some of the cards are not half bad if you have good enough credit! Some of their APR is awesome, but you still have to have pretty good credit. Any student who needs a credit card check out Credit Card Search Engine today!

It’s Smencilious!

  • November 18, 2007 2:53 am

I got an awesome package in the mail this past Friday, and boy was I excited. It was almost like Christmas! It was a little sample package from Vat 19, a cool little gift giving company that has some nice little party stuffing/general gifts. I got a Ambient Fire DVD, which was extremely nice and warm. I could sit here for hours just watching it, in fact my dog Waldo did just that. He loves looking at the T.V. screen watching the fire. I also received some Insta Snow Powder, which is great for those of you who do not live near the great north like I do. I have not yet tried that out as I want to show it off at my family Christmas possibly, as it is that cool. The other thing about it is that you could use it to put on your Christmas tree, to make it look like your Christmas tree has snow on it. Even better, if Waldo decided he wanted to try some it is non-toxic so he would not get sick from it, keeping your peace of mind and still it looks like awesome artificial snow. With this Christmas music on the radio right now I can imagine in Insta Snowing!

Smencils write just like real pencils, if you can’t read my picture says Hello!

The thing that I got that I like best though has to be the Smencil! They are actually made of recycled newspapers and then soaked in environmentally friendly fragrances to get their scent. I only got one Smencil as it was a trial pack, the scent I received was Cotton Candy. It smells AWESOME. I would love to have this whole room smell like the Smencil! Anyways, thanks to Vat 19 for sending me this awesome trial pack and I cannot wait to use the Insta-Snow in a few weeks!

Getting a new clock

  • November 16, 2007 6:30 pm

As I am going to mention on a post later tonight on Ryan at Home(I’ll make sure to link you all in on a later post), I got a load of new furniture today. Well, I was thinking, I do not have a really nice clock to go along with that beautiful furniture. I jumped on to the Internet and saw that Howard Miller grandfather clocks were a rather good company to buy from. I wasn’t really looking for grandfather clocks though, more of a general use wall clock. They also have a blog about their website/company/clocks which is really cool. They talk about everything from Howard Miller clocks to details about their company on their blog.

None the less, on my quest for perfection in interior design I went on to look for my clock. Once again, I somehow winded up on the Howard Miller Grandfather Clock page, but then I navigated back to the right page for wall clocks and found a beautiful one. I found a Seth Thomas Mount Everest wall clock that looks absolutely stellar, and best of all it is affordable at $41.21. As soon as I get my next paycheck some of it is going right towards buying that wall clock as it is downright sweet!

Sad story…

  • November 15, 2007 4:45 pm

I just got a call from my neighbor again, it turns out their granddaughter is not doing so well. She is only twenty two and has a form of cancer, I cannot remember the exact type, but it is a truly sad case. Luckily, the doctors think they can get the cancer out of her body but it will take chemotherapy to do so. So I called a few other families around our neighborhood and we though we could send some sort of a holiday gift baskets. That way this little girl could have something nice while she is going through her chemotherapy. I will be calling my neighbor back in a few minutes and seeing if it is at all possible, you know with the whole medical deal but it looks like iGorumet has some pretty cool looking ones. She loves different kinds of cheese so maybe we will get her something like that, I am not sure yet but we will hopefully give her something to cheer her up this holiday season!

VirMedice

  • November 14, 2007 4:03 pm

I just got a call from my Aunt, and she had a computer question. Although we did talk about that and got her all fixed up, I asked her what she was doing at work today. My Aunt works at a medical office, of sorts. She does medical billing and we were talking about the VirMedice software that she uses. She was telling me about electronic medical records software with so many important activities in the medical field it is a no-brainer that the medical field is working on moving medical records to electronic copies.  She was telling me all the wonderful benefits like less people needed to do the job, and that she can control inventories of supplies.  I actually think that is really amazing, with so much software innovation these days it really is the norm!  She still is working on converting more patient files but she says that she should be done within only two weeks of starting!

Car Quotes

  • November 14, 2007 3:41 pm

For those of you who are looking for some car quotes on Honda cars, I have a tip for you.  I just checked out Carsblvd.com and they had some interesting Honda Car Quotes.  With Honda Car Prices being rather high thanks to the quality cars they make you really have to shop around to get a good price on them.  Luckily, we have gotten great deals on all of our Honda Cars.

I love my Honda’s to death, in fact I still have a 1992 Honda Accord with over 240,000 miles on that.  I think Honda should be like Volvo and get a customer sticker for every 100,000 miles. Anyways, Carsblvd.com could help you find your next Honda or more they have a great selection of cars so check them out today!

My vacuum cleaner is dying

  • November 14, 2007 3:16 pm

I was so glad that I found the website for 1 Awesome Vac. My Kirby vacuum, at least I think it is a Kirby, is nearly dead and I was looking into getting a Dyson. I think my current vacuum will last about 3 months, which will give me time to save up to buy one of the best Dyson vacuums. I want to get the creme de la creme of Dyson vacuum cleaners. I am going to get the DC17 animal absolute. It is supposed to never lose suction or clog! It also has a five year warranty, which is great as the price sure justifies it. The vacuum is great, but it is $442. I will have to keep saving my pennies for a few more days to be able to afford that great vacuum. Oh well, back to nursing my old vacuum along…

Research Papers

  • November 12, 2007 11:34 pm

Personally, I always have had a hard time writing essays. I am a greater writer overall, but the formalness has always led me to make mistakes with papers. Master Papers can help you with writing your future Research Papers though! They have high quality writers who do some of the research for you, still it is important that you contribute to the report. Oh, and make sure you college students get your order in early as they charge extra for rush service!

Auto Loans Mania!

  • November 11, 2007 7:17 pm

In a stark contrast to many of those boring website about Auto Loans, Auto Loans Mania has a crazy design. They actually put the customer ahead of everything else. How often in today’s world do you actually get put ahead of someone else? Not very often I can tell you what for sure! Especially with the insurance industry, where many of the insurers just give you the run around.  Bad credit and previous loan problems are not any major obstacles for Auto Loans Mania.  Heck, it seems like they almost encourage you to try them no matter what!  So if your looking for a people friendly auto loan company check out Auto Loans Mania!

Spock.com is back!

  • November 8, 2007 9:23 pm

Some of you might of remembered me previously talking about Spock.com.  Well, I have been playing around on Spock, and boy have I found some fun people.  There is everyone from George Bush, to oh so glamorous Brittany to Paris Hilton.  I have to say that Spock has a great, and somewhat controversial picture of Paris.   Paris even has a famous quote.

“What’s Wal-mart? Do they sell like wall stuff?”

I also like that Spock has a variety of web resources that they pull things from about the people they have listed.  This includes, well at least for Paris Hilton, Wikipedia, MySpace, and more.  Her MySpace is actually kind of sad, she has not even logged in since October 25th, what doe she do all day!  And can you believe that Paris Hilton is actually 26, jeez she is old!  Geez and you wouldn’t believe the dirt you can find on people lsited on Spock if you take a look through all of their site, most of the information found in the tabloids, can be found on Spock, but I bet that more of it is truthful!

Guess who else is 26 and listed on Spock, Jessica Alba!  I can’t believe how old some of these actresses/glamour girls are getting.  It is crazy!  Well, if you want to see more pictures of Paris Hilton, Spock has approximately 66 of them.  And they also have some rather interesting tags for Paris, which include one for her porno tape as well as driving while intoxticated, which is her top tag, oh and you can’t forget the wonderful T.V. show featuring Paris, The Simple Life.  Does anyone know exactly what is going on with that T.V. show anyways?    Well, if you want to know more facts or just pretend it is gossip, about your favorite celebrities check out Spock.com.

AFA donates all proceeds to Alzheimer’s research

  • November 6, 2007 10:32 pm

The Alzheimer’s Foundation of America has launched an estore just in time for the holidays. The best part about shopping at their estore, is that when you buy your holiday gift all proceeds go to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, who knew! Alzheimer’s is a cruel disease, and knowing that your money will be going back to benefit the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, might just make you feel all warm and fuzzy in your heart this holiday season.

Let’s see this year is the first anniversary of my one grandfather dying and the second anniversary of the other. They both died with 3 days of each other, but a year apart. The grandfather whose death anniversary is for one year, was believed to have dementia/ Alzheimer’s. He was a great thinker, having highly intelligent discussions and building many things. He wasn’t always such a people person, but it got particularly bad when his health started to deteriorate. He would call and call us, and say “I am going to do this and this”, but he never did.

It was emotional taxing on us all and in a way, even though this sounds rather mean it felt nice for him to go. The strange think about his death, it being with Alzheimer’s it was known he was going to die, but maybe not as quickly as he did. The other strange thing is taht we were driving down the road, and less than 5 minutes on either side of when he died, the brakes went out in our car. Luckily, we were able to pull off into a parking lot and use the emergency brake and circle a few times and we were O.K., but it was just kind of strange.

I don’t think anyone deserves having to deal with Alzheimer’s this holiday season or any holiday season. Try looking into your heart and seeing if you can use anything from the Alzheimer’s E-Store.

Speaking of Lasik…

  • November 6, 2007 10:10 pm

Well anyone who knows me knows that i wear glasses. I do not wear contacts, as I just do not like them. I was talking with one of my friends the other day about getting Lasik. She told me that she went online and found Doc Shop, a sort of 1-800 dentist for the cosmetic surgery business. They have great features such as helping you find a local doctor, keeping you informed and more.

Right away, I was stunned by the professional looking appearance of the website. It had a great smooth look to it and made me want to continue using it. I also liked the video/flash thing on the top right side of the page. That reminds me a lot of CNN, and is that a great feature if you want to highlight a lot of different information on your site. I thought Doc Shop was just for Lasik, but I found out that they will help you with a lot of different surgeries and even some procedures. These include teeth whitening, breast augmentation, and more.

So I thought I would go ahead and try their find a dentist feature for my local area, as my next door neighbor is a local dentist. I was not too impressed by their results, as they only gave a large area, which is alright for somewhere with a lot of population density, but I am just not he edge of Detroit, so that really does not work out too well for me.

Next, I decided to try for Lasik. I actually found a result for a Lasik provider I found elsewhere, and they have 11 listings for the Metro Detroit Area. Pretty respectable. I wonder how old Doc Shop is right now. Actually, I just took a look at it’s domain age and it is nearly 11 years old! Pretty amazing if you consider it.

However, this seems like the newest version of the site. I am sure once they get a few more weeks they will have much more data inputted into the system, and I don’t live in the best area to try this out either. However, i cannot encourage you enough to go take a look at Doc Shop. They have a great website that has quite a bit of information, with anything from that Lasik that I was talking about getting to getting my cola stained teeth white again. Oh, and I will take donations to get that Botox, for Christmas of course. :) DocShop, a great Doctor Shopping resource online!

Carol is in France Flowing with Flowers

I was talking to my friend Carol who lives in France this morning. We only had a quick minute to chat but she is one of the many people who live in different countries that I enjoy talking to. She was talking about the beautiful weather in Nice, and what she was going to do for her birthday, which is in a couple of weeks. I was like, oh CRAP, it is her birthday I have to give her something! I was thinking about flowers, but then I though, they would be rather expensive shipping flowers internationally. I was amazed when I saw I could get her flowers for under $100! Best of all, Flora 2000 didn’t seem to charge $50 for delivery like some of their competitors, who only do business within the U.S. do!

I also saw this link that said “Need delivery today”. It is the same version of the site, but they just charge a little more, understandably. While their international prices are a steal, their USA prices are the same rates as their competitors, something for Flora 2000 to work on I think. So the next time you need to send flowers to France, or any of the other 150 countries Flora 2000 services, give Flora 2000 a look, you might be glad you did!

The Mist…spooky.

  • November 5, 2007 9:34 pm

After talking about the whole actors guild situation and movie writers I found out that Stephen King is going to be having a new movie come out really soon! It is actually set to come out on November 21st! Which is rather unusual for a hit movie, being that The Mist is scheduled to come out on Wednesday instead of a Friday, maybe they are betting on kids being off for Thanksgiving and going to the theater to watch the movie. So I went over to the movie website, and IMDB of course to get some more information on The Mist by Stephen King. The movie centers around this group of people trapped inside a rather small grocery store. They are scared to go out into this “mist” which might kill them.

This actually reminds me of being in High School. Well, if someone of you cannot remember what it is like to be a freshman in high school, I for some reason can. I was scared as heck that someone would do something to me and it was hard to walk through with all those people I did not know. Sure enough, a couple people, surprisingly from my same class, tried to rough me up. I stood up to them, and they actually got really scared themselves. It shows you what can happen if you actually stand up to bullies. Which is sort of like what they seem to do in the trailer when they stand up and say they are going to sacrifice someone to go into the mist.

I suppose we will have to go to the movie/get the movie to see what happens in the end. But it looks just as good as 1408, if not better!

Date dot com, a different dating site

With some many competitors out there for online dating services, you would think that the internet would not have room for another Free Dating service. Yet Date.com allows you to find your possible future soul mate. I have to say that their site is wonderful designed and is overly simplistic, which is a nice thing to see for a change. Many of the competitors try and wow you with all their flashy graphics and fancy words. Date.com keeps it simple, but in case you do not have a clue what to do, they do have a site tour that will tell you how to use their site down to the nitty gritty.

I also like how they put pictures up of cute couples in their site tour. It makes the site feel more open and inviting. Also, having the same header and tag line is very nice, all relationships begin with a date, very unique. Another interesting part of Date.com compared to other sites is that they let you join for free. You do not have to pay a penny. Just think of all the other dating sites that charge you!

Something else I found while going through the Date.com site tour was that they have a webzine. While this term is stupid and outdated, the “webzine” site is full of information! Now, I can’t believe that it would be Safe for Work, but the webzine is! Oh, and the best part for woman at least is that it seems a lot like Cosmo, very raunchy and such. Dat.com also offers more dating that just for straight people. They fully support the gay community with a column on the webzine site. You should see their success story part of the webzine, it is so romantic and fun to read. They have quite a few success stories too!

The final part of Date.com, which I totally did not expect is that they have a toolbar. I have yet to see a dating site that has a toolbar that is actually functional. Even though their toolbar has far inferior search provider Yahoo, they do have a ton of options on their toolbar and for members I think it would be a great asset. The best part of the toolbar is that it lets you know the moment you get a new email from one of your new crushes, letting you stay in touch as fast as possible!

Well, I hope you enjoyed my review of Date.com. If you liked it and are looking for a new romance head on over to Date.com and give it a try!

Organizing this house

  • November 4, 2007 12:39 am

Well after spending most of my Saturday raking leaves…AGAIN.  Or was it Sunday last week.  I have come to the conclusion that I can no longer let my computer room be a mess.   Luckily, Google has produced yet another wonderful search result.  Neat Containers has a really neat domain name.  Plus, they have all sorts of storage options ranging from a shoe organizer to a container called a Mega Pod. Plus they are so versatile you can buy less and regain more of your room. They stack vertically but you use them like a drawer. Plus, they offer many different sizes that will allow you to expand your selection.

The thing I like best about their storage collection is that the prices are low. I cannot afford anything that is not the cheapest possible, but with the highest quality. Quality still trumps price, but when you can get both you know you are dealing with a great company. So it looks like my next few paychecks will be going in at least part towards buying some organizers for my computer room. I’ll be sure to blog about it if I do decide to go ahead with it. In the meantime, if you need some storage solutions I would encourage you to check out Neat Containers for some neat containers.

Christmas Tech Deals

  • November 3, 2007 6:40 pm

You know with Walmart coming out with their Black Friday ads this past Friday, I have been looking to see if I can find anyone else jumping the gun and getting into the selling spirit. tech bargains was the first site that came up when I typed a random product related search(short for, I don’t remember what I typed),  and boy do they have some great deals.  They have some exclusive deals to their site, but they pull in deals from all the other bargain sites around the internet, saving you time and the hassle.   They also have RSS feeds that bring you up to the minute information about what products are newly listed on their site.

But the part I like most about their site is, that even though they do have lives, I hope, they update their site constantly.  This includes on the weekends and on holidays, who has that type of dedication?  I was looking through last night and the deals for dell are amazing, I was able to configure my dream notebook on their and it cost $1,650.  With all the reductions for service packs, and a router add on, it came to 1,400 and something.  I was then able to find a coupon on tech bargains and get $425 off!   That is a brilliant price reduction and I am SOOOO close to getting my Dell, I CANNOT wait!  Oh, and hopefully when I am ready they will have a new coupon.  Anyways, back to living my life on a desktop.
